I've gone 3 times to get my hair done. Each time giving it a chance to see if they would improve. I've had two different girls do my hair and walk out very upset. $158.00 for a 5 hour appointment! Partial highlight and trim. Unreal! Both times I've gone I end up overpaying for a mediocre job. Complaints don't work as they will continue to overcharge and do crap service!
Been a long time client of VCS (nearly 17 years!) and I can honestly say that when you go to VCS- no matter which stylist you're working with- you're getting the best of the best. I recently came back for the holidays and had the gift of working with Sarah thanks to my mother I went to Sarah for a root-touch up and a color refresh to brighten the ashy fade on my otherwise copper hair and I left with the most beautiful orange, copper and strawberry blonde melt balayage I've ever seen. She took five hours hand-painting this glorious copper masterpiece on my head and is an absolute master. If you need an incredible stylist/colorist call Sarah!
I have been a customer of VCS for several years now as their waxing specialist, Tabitha, is absolutely the best at what she does. Seriously, I will now not even consider getting a wax anywhere else. Tabitha has a way of instructing you to manipulate and pull the skin so you get the best and most long lasting wax possible. In addition, she has a very calm, soothing voice that mitigates the pain you experience throughout the service. It should also be noted that they use very high quality wax as well as cooling lotion to minimize skin irritation. Although having been a customer for several years, I had never tried out their hair salon services, which is a big part of their business. I decided to go with VCS when it came time to book my wedding updo. I scheduled a trial with a stylist and came in about 5 months before my wedding date so I had time to consider what style I wanted. The stylist I worked with was fine, she ended up finding a style that I liked and she took pictures so I had it as a reference. They put my wedding date in the books so I would be able to return to the same stylist for my wedding. However, about a month before my wedding, I called up to double check the time of the appointment as well as to make a few additional appointments for my bridal party. At that time, the receptionist informed me that the stylist that had done my trial no longer worked at VCS and they automatically booked me with the next available stylist. I was a bit blindsided by this as I felt this was a gross oversight on their end to not call me and notify me of this as soon as the former stylist became no longer employed with them. It also perturbed me that I had paid for a trial with someone who would not actually be doing my updo. In their defense, throughout that time they were undergoing some pretty serious renovations of their salon as well as receptionist turnover. Still, I shuddered to think if I would have been surprised the day of my wedding with a completely different stylist, and even worse, if she was not able to execute the style I had chosen (this had unfortunately happened to me in the past!) In actuality, the stylist I worked with, Mandy Mae, was absolutely lovely and I actually preferred her over the former stylist. However, it was clear that there was some miscommunication as she did not see in the notes that it was my actual wedding date when I came in. Still though, I was happy with the service I received and did feel that Mandy Mae did an excellent job. In addition, I have never had any other issues with mis-booking or otherwise during the many times I have visited this salon in the past. Lastly, I would highly recommend VCS at the very least for their incredible waxing services with Tabitha.
I love love love this place and especially my stylist Kristi- she is amazing. I was new to the area and was referred to the salon. I have very long and thick hair... it takes a VERY long time to cut and style. Kristi balayaged my hair, did some baby highlights and trimmed it. Kristi stayed about an hour extra after the salon closing to make sure my hair was done correctly. She's extremely talented and incredibly skilled. I really enjoyed my appointment at VCS and with Kristi. She's very upfront about the amount of upkeep a certain hairstyle requires and it's very helpful. If you refer someone or are referred by someone you receive $20 dollars off any service done at the salon.
I've lived on the east coast for 6 years before moving back to my hometown of Medina. When I initially made my appointment I wasn't expecting anything special, other than a quick haircut. I was pleasantly surprised with the chic atmosphere and service I received. While my hair was being cut I received a free (I tipped her of course) hand and arm massage that was simply delightful. Also, prior to this visit I had a facial a few years prior that was absolutely outstanding. Their services are a bit pricey for the area, which didn't shock me since I'm accustomed to big city prices.
