V Star nail salon in Plymouth, MA is absolutely fantastic!! I recommend all of my friends and family come here. The appointments are easily booked online, appointments are on time, the staff is professional and polite, and my favorite technician is Lucy. Lucy has a great way of being fun and engaging, she listens to her customer and makes recommendations, and always does a great job. My nails are not chipping and breaking before the next time I go. Absolutely recommend V Star nails and for anyone to go see Lucy! All these photos are her amazing work.

I went to this place to get liquid gel or hard gel nails for the first time as I was told it's better than getting dip which I had been getting for about a year. The first time I went to this place it was fine going in, they took me right away as I had made an appointment online in advance, which I always do anywhere I go. My tech was very sweet but the service was rushed, it was freezing cold and my tech left 3-4 times without explaining why. At one point she left for 10 minutes, no exaggeration. I'm a very understanding person, so if she told me something was going on I wouldn't have been so annoyed. She was also very rough with the service and my nails were all cut different lengths and in weird shapes. She actually made my pinky bleed and then realized how rough she was being and apologized, which was fine but my pinky hurt for days after. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I know she felt badly so she gave me a discount which was nice. Mind you I only came back again because this is the only place I know around me that provides liquid gel. The second time I came in and tried to check in, and the woman at the desk told me she couldn't find my appointment. I made it online the day before and I showed her the confirmation text that I had received. They apparently didn't write it down in their book. She was incredibly rude and just let me stand there, no apology no nothing. So she left and continued with another service, she didn't even tell me if they could take me or not. So I stood in front of the desk for a minute before asking one of the techs if they could take me or not. She explained to me that they were understaffed and I would have to wait. I understand being understaffed but I was upset. I'm not a confrontational person. At. All. At that point I decided to just walk out as I had already had a bad experience beforehand and didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for the service that I had planned in advance! I was sitting in my car when I looked up and one of the techs was standing outside my car and told me she could take me. I just went back inside, I wish I didn't though. I was picking out a color that I wanted when the first lady (the rude one) asked me what I was doing and I explained that one of the techs told me she could take me. So she took me and my nails came out okay but the chrome on them was wonky. I told her I liked it, though it wasn't the worst manicure I've ever gotten except that she was rough again and once again she hurt my pinky with the buffing block. Also she put up the drill so high it burned my nails and when I put them in the gel curing thingy they were so hot I was wincing in pain. I can't believe the service of this place. I've gotten my nails done a millions times and this is by far the worst place I've ever gone. Do not go here. The only upside like I previously said was that the tech gave me a discount, she was very sweet to do that. I wish could say good things about this place but between the services and that rude woman I was just very unimpressed.

John did a fabulous Job on my nails, 10/10 would recommend! The salon was relaxing and everyone was kind. I will be returning!

Nina does really good design work on both nails and toes. I love almond, acrylic with gel and I typically have a design done- always pleased. She also does the best pedicures too! Highly recommend. She is careful with shape and design.

I recently went for my biweekly gel manicure- the removal process ruined my nails. The operator use the drill to remove the gel in record time and in turn destroyed my nails. If they try to use just a drill to take off your gel make sure they stop !! The damage is awful.
