Urban Salon & Spa in Murphy, NC

It was a gift for my birthday and just moved to town.
Lucy not only asked How I wanted my hair cut but did a great job!
Will make this my beauty shop in the future!

Warning to those with kids who go to Urban Salon. I made two appointments last week for me and my mom to go get our hair cut by Chasity ( love her, great hair stylist ) and I had my two kids with me 5 and 17m. We were waiting for my appointment because I sent my mom before me so I could sit with my kids while she went first. My son was watching a movie and my daughter was in a stroller fussing but not crying. Just annoyed fussing. No tears or screaming. Well the owner I believe is who it was came over to offer my daughter a lollipop. She's 17 months old and we've already been through the lollipop thing and she's not old enough to not bite the head clean off so it's a straight choking hazard. I said no to the lollipop to which I got the response. Well we can't have all this noise in the salon while other people are trying to get their hair cut.
So I got up. And just said. Okay, well you can just cancel my appointment then. And got up and proceeded to take my kids. ( the salon was loud with hair dryers and everything going, so my toddler making toddler fussing noise shouldn't have been an issue because it was far from quiet ) my mom in the chair didn't understand what was going on and asked me to stay and I just said that i couldn't  keep my kids quiet so I needed to leave and left with my kiddos. ( still love Chasity as a stylist but unfortunately will never return to Urban ) my husband called on his lunch break and I told him what happened so he then called the Salon and the salon said all they did was offer a lollipop and then I walked away. NOT TRUE. 1. I am not that irrational of a person. 2. To lie is a big issue for me and I think they were just trying to protect their reputation. But either way. The offer of the lollipop isn't where it stopped. The whole sentence that came after was the problem.
I'm pregnant with my 3rd baby. I have 2 other children. Kids make noise and it has never been an issue until today. I am mortified. I was going to let it go because again. The stylist didn't do anything wrong. Love her and think she's great, but that whole thing could've been avoided and I know the lady who approached me about it ( I do think it was the owner ) said she had 2 kids but honestly. Reverse the scenario and tell me what you would do. It was obvious my kids weren't welcome. To a loud noisy salon. And I am beyond hurt and angered that they lied about it and that my children weren't welcome there when I have taken my son before and he screamed the literal whole time and nobody said anything about it.
So just a warning. If you so take your children to Urban and they're not perfectly quiet. Chances are they aren't welcome there and you should find childcare before deciding that's where you want to go.

I went there months ago, don't spend much on my hair.  Its thin and greying but I can say they did an amazing job.  My granddaughter is getting married in April and for sure, I will be back.  Won't go until I get my hair done there!

We recently moved here and I searched for a salon after not getting a cut/color for 5 month. I found Cindy at Urban salon and I am so very happy I did!
I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. She listened to me and we came up with a plan. I love my hair and will only go to Cindy at Urban Salon from now on! Thank you so much Cindy!!!!
