I was recommended to go to this place by a friend and was very satisfied! I had my hair cut by Peter and he was very careful and made sure that everything was perfect and that I was very comfortable! I would highly recommend getting your hair cut here. The people are great and the atmosphere is just as good.
I am extremely satisfied with my many experiences at Urban Bay Salon. There is plenty of parking in the private lot. Upon entering, you feel welcomed by the great staff who have provided a clean and organized lobby with magazines, television, and complimentary cappuccino while you wait! Artie and his team pay great attention to detail and make sure you leave with a haircut better than you expected. I am impressed at how they clean off the cut hair and there is never any residual on my face, ears, clothes, or shoes. At the end, you are offered to have your hair styled with product for free. I am always pleased by the conversations we have and there's no pressure. Coming here feels like you're visiting a friend, which is what a relationship with your barber should be. A men's cut costs $14 (plus tip), which is a steal for the level of service and convenience that you receive.
This is a story of how I was BUTCHERED by Masha at Urban Bay Salon. Last Sunday I went in for a haircut. I had to wait 15 minutes no big deal. The salon is a half barbershop half salon. I get my hair washed everything is fine. I get in the chair and say that I want long layers. Well my fellow yelpers I did not get long layers. What I received was 2 layers, one that was shoulder length and one that was 3 inches below my shoulders. No blending nothing. And on top of it the girl was going back and forth cutting my hair and doing another girls color. Maybe she was rushing me and wasn't paying attention? Maybe she is an awful hairstylist? Maybe she needs glasses? I don't know. What I do know is that I will never go back, and will warn anyone who thinks about making a visit to urban bay salon. I have gotten a better haircut and the Paul Mitchell school on new Dorp lane! Below I have attached pictures, before I got the cut from Masha, and after. BEWARE. I also plan on going back to speak to the manager and see what they can do for me.
Came to visit my wife's family and her brother took me to his barber. Was a bit worried at first because of having my barber in NJ cutting me for a while now but Joe was lights out. Guy gave me everything I asked for and more! Great conversation, great, service, and great hair cut! 5 out of 5.
