Tuscany-The Salon & Spa in The Villages, FL

Visiting The Villages from Washington, DC and desperately needed a deep tissue massage for my back. I love my masseuse in DC (Petar @ Ascend Massage in DuPont Circle if you are ever visiting). I was in a world of discomfort so I booked the reservation on the phone. The receptionist was lovely and sent me a text confirmation. I saw Don. He did a great job relieving my discomfort and working out the knots in my back! The spa area is really nice with lockers, a shower, and a steam sauna. The shower is nicely stocked with Aveda body wash, shampoo and conditioner. This is not The Mandarin Hotel Spa or The Four Seasons so if you expect that, move along!! I am grateful for this modest gem of a spa and the serenity it gave me in these crazy times!

For such a high price I got a decent manicure, a haircut the delist wanted me to have (not what I wanted) and terrible leg wax. If possible I was hairier then when I started. Definitely not worth it!

I came from out of town for a weekend with my best friend. We were to start off our day with relaxing massages here. That didn't happen because apparently if you have two customers with the same first name, they can't figure it out. So the "other" Christine was booked but I was not. When I spoke to the woman at the front, who is apparently the manager, she gave me a list of how her day wasn't going well and then ended with "I apologize, I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do for you". UNBELIEVABLE. Mind you I was already undressed and in a robe when they figured this out. I don't know who hired that woman at the front as manager, but they must be desperate. I also witnessed her being extremely rude on the phone to a customer and literally hanging up on him or her. Not only will I never use this place, I will tell as many people as I can about this horrid experience. That manager is straight garbage and the owners need to pay attention.

I walked in today to see about a spa day for my wife and I. We wanted pedicures, couples massage, and haircuts. When I asked the short haired older brunette at the front desk about appointments, I could barely get my pedicure question in before she scowled at me and said "TODAY?!". I replied yes and she sneered again and said there were no appointments available. She was incredibly unprofessional, nasty, rude and has no business working the front desk if she doesn't like customers asking about appointment availability. We visit my parents often in the Villages and will make certain to never spend our money here and my parents will let everyone know about the poor treatment received by this woman. Go somewhere else and have a better year!!!

Greeting as I entered the salon. None. When the one person looked at me I only said my appt time and with whom. She then said you can go upstairs now. You are checked in. I'm glad it wasn't my first time there. Massage was great as usual but customer service at check in not so great.
