Renew Hair Salon in The Villages, FL

After reading these reviews I wish I would've read them before I made my appointments. They absolutely dropped the ball with the stylist they scheduled me with. He listened to nothing I asked him to do, my red flag warning went off the second I saw him and should've followed my fight or flight reaction and Ran!! My hair looked worse when I walked out then before I came in. How did they resolve it? They came into my job 2 weeks after I sent an email to the owner. At least I listened to what they wanted, and gave them what they asked for. Stay far far away from this business, unless you want a shotty service done on your hair, yes, I said shotty, come at me cause plenty others agree!! I only gave a star because it would not post without one, what a joke, just like this salon

Apparently you're not allowed to complain at all here even when your hair comes out ghastly like this! Before ever scheduling an appointment here, I discussed color and cut with young stylist Kaitlyn at length who seemed to understand. Three hours in the chair later- I looked like a monster because she simply could not cut hair! My hair was grossly uneven, frizzier than ever but the color was decent. I still maintained my composure and was respectful. The owner Deena agreed to fix it and had her best stylist Brittney re-do the cut. I was willing to forgive and forget and return but they weren't. When I walked in to schedule another appointment 3 months later, Brittney- who I tipped well- practically growled when I walked in, then circulated her public bashing to everyone including other customers in the salon like a bratty teenager! I stopped in 3 times to casually inquire if there was a cancellation during the only week I was in town, which Brittney from across the room determined was "harassment", even when pleasantly chatting with their scheduling coordinator. They lie, project THEIR hate and mistreatment and gossip like crazy. Ten minutes later I got the "find another salon" phone call from Deena, who wasn't even there because none of her stylists "will let you in their chair." Since when did stylists direct their boss and demand to be treated like royalty?? No wonder all the little old lady customers sit in fearful silence- they're scared of these bullies! If you can't handle a legitimate complaint and work to earn someone's business then appreciate it, you shouldn't be in business at all. The WORST customer service and appreciation I've ever experienced with these vicious over-aged brats. They treat customers like you need them more than they need you. This was the risk you took Deena, so deal with it!

Absolutely done . Cancelled my appointment 2 hours before. We're talking Easter weekend. Happened before Christmas too . This is twice . Always takes twice to get my hair right . I've stuck it out a year . I've also brought in customers. The receptionist who is also a stylist is rude . Don't bother with this shop . You'll be so disappointed. No good colorists here .

STAY AWAY FROM THESE HACKS!! These people totally damaged my hair, putting huge Ronald McDonald orange clumps, in my dark brown hair! I called them the following day, while getting it redone, (4 1/2hrs at Salon Jaylee...Brooke did a beautiful job in fixing, what I thought was ruined!) & they told me to "email my complaints"! Honestly, I didn't see the devastation of my color job, until that evening, for the stylist had another client waiting, & said she didn't have time to blow dry my hair, so I left with soaking wet hair, & a baseball cap on... I contacted this salon via email 4-5 times & called about the same...(this happened Sept 21st, 2022...& today is Dec 20th. 2022) the owner..."unethical Tim Simpson" finally called me after I email & called him AGAIN today... This dude actually gaslit me, by saying it's MY FAULT for not letting them repair my hair that they botched & damaged! He will not refund me my $200.00...even tho he saw the horrific job that his stylist did! To me, a owner owes up to responsibilities, not blame the client (Read my Google review) & this POS response! People...There's tons of salons in The Villages...Go Somewhere Else! True, people make mistakes...I understand; but this owner of Renew Salon, Gaslights, & Takes NO ACCOUNTABILITY!! He's a very unethical person! What the hell are you talking about, unethical Tim Simpson, owner of RENEW SALON?! I emailed & called your salon for 3mths, & you finally responded with a call today Dec 20th, & this ONLY AFTER I CALLED & EMAILED YOU AGAIN TODAY?!?! Ghee...What a wonderful owner of a business that cares about his clients?!!!?! You offered NO RESOLUTION, but gaslit me by saying "I should have contacted your salon to do the repair"?! I called YOUR SALON, while I was getting my hair repaired the next morning, (telling them exactly that) & they said to EMAIL my complaints!! Fact is...I received NO RESOLUTION...Only Gaslighting from you! My fault I didn't let Renew Salon completely ruin my hair?! And wtf does having 20 extensions have to do with "altering" my hair color?!? She did nothing to those, but clip them back! Color didn't touch those (thank God!) It's MY HAIR that was ruined!! As far I as see...You stole $200 from me, & defend your staffs substandard work! My hair was totally botched, & the pics show this...but maybe you think it looks great?!? If you think going 3 mths without replying to clients complaints is a sign of an ethical business...I beg to differ, & think most Pple would agree with me! I hope nobody gets traumatized like I was...I wouldn't wish this on even you!! Ohhh the vulgarity I used during our conversation...Your Salon did F-Up my hair! I 100% stand by that! My advise to you...GROW A PAIR!!

The best saloon in The Villages. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and Christina works magic. I have had a very difficult time trying to find a sytlist who listens to me - until I found Christina. You will not be disappointed with any of the stylist. They pride themselves in putting the customer first.
