Trio Hair Studio in Farmington Hills, MI

I go to Michigan every few months for my job and I always make sure to work a Trio appointment into my agenda since discovering them about a year ago. I always get exactly what I ask for, and even give them the freedom to "just make me look good." Finding a trustworthy stylist without breaking the bank becomes rarer every year, but Trio remains consistent in both categories. A very clean and professional salon, highly recommend.

Stopped by Trio on my way back from school and decided to try it out. I go to school in East Lansing but needed a quick haircut before an interview and this place just so happened to be in my route. The staff was really friendly and it ended up being one of the cleaner and more organized hair salons I've ever been to. I'm pretty picky about the length of my hair and Yelena cut it exactly how I asked- I'll be back!

Great place to get a haircut! Clean, friendly environment. This is the only place I get my and my sons haircuts.

I had to wait a few hrs before posting this review because I was so mad (& still am!!)! I only gave it a 1 star because I didn't have the option of zero stars. I hesitated at first because the lady that did my hair (Fay) is so very sweet, but unfortunately I left a very unhappy customer never to return. This place was highly recommended by a neighbor. I checked the reviews and it has some of the highest (they must be writing them themselves). All this being said, it was the worst hair experience of my life! What went wrong: 1. My hair looks NOTHING like the picture I showed. I told Fay that my hair takes forever to grow so if I got a bad cut, I would be upset. She assured me that she had it. I ended up with very short hair and the long layers & style I requested are nowhere to be found. I cried as soon as I got in my car to leave. As soon as I got home & took the pics, I ran to the shower. 2. I had made an appt. for the man there to cut my hair, but he turned to me & said, "We don't take appointments." in a very rude manner; not once did he offer to have me wait for him so he could do my hair. Fay did offer several times to have me wait for him, but after his response & demeanor (& the fact Fay was so sweet) I declined the offer. I honestly just wanted out of there. 3. When I went to pay I was told it was $35 when the day before I had been told no more than $20-$25. I paid $25. 4. There's a huge language discrepancy. 5. None of the owners, who were all there, ever made the slightest effort to try to assist or accommodate me in any way. 6. When Fay was "finished", my hair was still quite damp, she used completely the wrong brush which made it frizzy, there was not really any defined style or shine, it was a complete mess! I walked in with better looking hair (having washed & styled it myself 2 days earlier), than I walked out with. I feel bad because Fay was so sweet, but I am bitterly disappointed and very upset at my experience. My hair looked terrible when I left & it took me an hour to try to make sense on the chop job I ended up with once I washed it. I'm not upset at Fay.... I'm upset at the 3 owners that were present & heard my conversations or interacted with me & did NOTHING to ensure that this first time customer would not only be satisfied, but become a returning customer. They acted as of they could care less. In conclusion, I trusted the wrong people with my hair & I so regret it! I ended up with a chop job I'm going to have to get fixed, ended up with shorter hair than I wanted, dealt with owners who seem not to give a flip about their customers. It was just a horrible experience. STAY AWAY!!!! I will NEVER return here again! Their customer service is terrible, prices are all over the place, they don't take appts. & they are plain rude & act like they could care less. I will regret this decision for a long time to come.

I love this place! We always stop by here when we visit Farmington Hills. The whole family gets their hair cut here. It's super clean, modern and has very friendly staff. Especially Faye who is fantastic. Everyone there is professional and does a great job. Prices are extremely reasonable and you always walk out with a smile. Highly recommend!
