Total Nails & Spa in Vernon, CT

First time visiting yesterday and I am very pleased with the service! I am very particular with where I go for my nails. The place needs to be clean, be welcoming and do a great job. This place had all 3! My service was done by Annie and she was great. I will definitely be back again.

I had just finished attending a CAR SHOW. I was walking to my bus stop when I passed this nail salon. I went in for a pedicure. All in all, I got good results. The crew fanned all over me a little too much. Rather hovering than pampering. I felt uncomfortable. I love my pedicure but couldn't wait to finally leave. Prices and environment ok. I hope the crew pulls back a little for other customers comfort. I will definitely go to my fav salon and not here. Oops Total!

I came to this establishment yesterday and had the worst nail salon experience of my life. First of all, the lady who works in there did a horrible job with my pedicure and the man had to come and fix her mistakes. Then he gave me a manicure and didn't fully coat my nails which I proceeded to realize after I left. This morning when I looked at my nails I realized most of the flimsy clear coat he put on peeled off. After I got off of work, I came back to the establishment and asked for him to either fix it or give me a refund which he responded with telling me that he is not giving me a refund and that if I wanted him to fix it I have to pay another $25. Not to mention that he asked me to pay for the manicure and pedicure while he was giving it to me, but waited until he was finished with the guests before me to ask for their payment!

Disappointed-- called about 10 times this morning (during their hours) to book an appointment and could clearly tell they were hanging up on me without speaking. Very strange. I've been once before and while it is $20 extra for gel and the designs weren't amazing or even (by the younger girl, sorry didn't get the name). Also didn't remove my cuticles fully. I am very picky about them and usually do them at home consistently. I figured she's probably learning. I wanted to go today just to get a plan mani/pedi. But unable to make an appointment. I'll try for a walk in but I always try to book ahead anywhere I go to ensure availability.

UPDATE: This is the same day as I posted the review above and I want for a walk in appointment. Immediately I was concerned as she (I had the older woman with glasses, Libby?) was peeling my gel polish off and I asked immediately for a soak off and they were laughing and not wanting to do it. They eventually did. I asked for no polish and they pestered me three times to do polish, I declined. Why do they only do the mask on a small portion of the front of your leg? For the manicure, she refused to do chemo saying she does not mix and I did not have an appointment. I let her know their phones aren't working I called 12 times and it would ring and they hang up. I'm like okay she doesn't do designs that's fine so I did one color. She cut me, she left my hands dirty from the soak off, didn't want me to wash my hands when I asked, overall so rude and made me feel so uncomfortable. My finger is cut with blood gushing and she's leaving the dirt there then putting lotion gloves on me with heat?? It's a terrible situation. The polish job wasn't great either and dust kept getting in the polish I had to ask her to redo two nails. Then I go to pay and the other woman with glasses was on the phone (ironic) and I waited. THIS IS THE WORST PART. I declined a tip as I didn't feel comfortable even giving that. and she's like did you add tip? I just say yes declined the receipt and said i'm all set and start to leave. SHE FOLLOWS ME SHE RUNS FROM THE COUNTER BLOCKS THE DOOR! She's begging me for a tip saying no no my technician spent an hour this that and she's blocking the door. I'm literally telling her please don't follow me out the store and beg me for a tip. I didn't feel comfortable and she cut me and I'm not happy and she's following me out of the store saying NO YOU'RE A BAD PERSON YOU'RE TERRIBLE. She's literally yelling at me in the parking lot!! INSANE!

I am so happy I stopped in! Great pedicure and lovely people. I cant wait to come back with more time to spare and have a upgraded service
