I use to go here until I discovered I was missing a match of hair from my head due to chemical burns. This place is overrated. The owner is a penny pusher and she keeps you waiting forever. Who has time spending their whole Saturday in a salon getting their hair done? After discovering I was missing hair from my head she claimed my hair was coming out because I was stressed. No ma'am! So I stop coming. She's not a good cosmetologist. You've been warned.
I only get my hair done here. I get relaxers, highlights and precision cuts here (not at the same time of course) and I know my hair will be heathy and beautiful.
The owner is great at styling however lacks in other areas. She is definitely a penny pincher and will overcharge you for every service you want or don't want. I've been going here off and on for years. And every time I go back I'm reminded why I said I'd never go back. This last time was indeed the last time and the last straw. I'm completely 100% natural now and have been getting a Design Essentials Strengthening Treatment when I want my hair straightened. I've had the treatment several times before but at another salon. It usually costs $150. It lasts 12wks. It's just like getting a relaxer minus the harsh chemicals. So the owner had the nerve to charge me almost double that price because of the "length of my hair." Quite frankly, my hair is shorter now that what it has been in years. That's mostly because I cut my relaxed ends off to be 100% natural. She charged me $275 for a service that should be only $150!!! That is absurd! to make matters worse, she didnt even preform the service herself....her under experienced and under paid high school/vo-tech students did. AND she charged my sister $85 for her 6 year old daughter to have the exact same service. I will no longer be returning to this salon!!
had an 8:30 am appointment with the salon owner. she showed up at 9:00 with no explanation or apology. wasn't finished until 1:30. never ever again.
