The Parlor in Tacoma, WA

Love this place. Great people and gifted hairdressers. Every color and cut is just what I want (and need!) I highly recommend The Parlor. Look at my before and after!

Erin is truly an amazing hair stylist! I recently had terrible hair experiences and needed a color correction and honest advice on moving forward with damaged hair. Erin was honest, ever so friendly and did magic on my hair. I can't thank her enough!! I've been to many salons in Tacoma and I've never left feeling like my hair was 100% better than when I walked in. My experience at the Parlor was divine. Can't wait to return!

This place is great! Stevie did wonders on my hair, it feels like she brought it back to life. Between the colors, product she knowledgeably talked to me about, and my cut, I will be back! The atmosphere was delightful and everyone was very nice. My hair feels amazing and so do I. Thank you so much.

I went today for the first time for all over highlights and a haircut. My hair is now multiple shades of blonde and orange. The haircut is beyond mediocre. I would only recommend this possibly for high school kids. No woman who wants anything above mediocre should go here. It was a waste of time and money for me and I can't wait to get this mess fixed by someone else.

I was hoping to be thrilled based on other reviews here and elsewhere as well as from a friend but unfortunately I'm a bit more underwhelmed than expected. 3 stars are due to the fact that the salon is very posh and clean and its a super cute and friendly environment... I found a new favorite tea and my favorite Bota Box was sitting on a shelf (note- book PM appointments!). If you have "regular hair", you probably can't go wrong... But for me, only 3 stars because before I knew it my pretty thick, curly hair had been "thinned out". I have not had this done to my hair since high school after learning that it leaves me sooo heavy in the middle with not enough weight at the ends to really hold the right shape leaving me feeling "mushroomy". Disappointing. I unfortunately didn't even notice it happening, 1, because I'm not in the industry with a knowledge of all the tools, 2, because I was in a new baby fog and it was the first time breaking away postpartum, and 3, because there wasn't any mention of it. Regardless, I specifically explained my hair type and needs and expectations upon calling and inquiring about the most suitable stylist and this part was a big miss. Furthermore, I specifically stated when I needed to be done by to get my kid to preschool and ended up over an hour over, instead of the receptionist saying they couldn't meet my needs, she booked me with a very sweet gal who is finding her footing in the biz but was 100% not a good match for my hair. Color came out nice and I was long overdue so that's at least a bit more fresh but the thinning wrecked the cut for me and now I will probably need a recut with a few more inches off than planned.
