Y'all I'm so sad. The man who did my nails was amazing and they looked nice but I came back for a removal and the lady ruined my natural nail it's split right down the middle and I don't know what to do now :( - update, my natural nail did fall off :(
It was my first time at The Nail Shop. I had originally made an 11am appointment but showed up an hour earlier and was able to get seated right away. I was then greeted by Lily and she did my manicure and pedicure. She was awesome! I got a regular manicure with clear coat and their top pedicure package with a french tip. It was relaxing and everyone there was very welcoming.
I have been here a few times and each time my mani's and pedi's are just okay. They are very nice and are pretty much clean.
I'm going to start off simple with avoid. Avoid if you care about things being clean, Avoid if you care about prices up front, Avoid if you don't want to be physically cut. As I was getting a pedicure, I noticed an employee who had unfortunately wet themselves, and continued working without gloves and sitting on things without changing. I really should have left then, but I didn't. They were constantly trying to sneak in hidden fees, and convince you to get there delux packages in hushed mumbling so you can't understand anything. I honestly felt bullied and was even scared to leave. Lesson learned. I ended up getting a full set of nails as well, which is what I originally wanted in the first place. Simple color, nothing too fancy. As the man doing my nails continued, the longer it took, the more aggressive he got. Constantly pulling my arms and hands around putting them on unclean surfaces. He ended up cutting me a few times around my cuticle. By the time it was all over, I was there for four hours. As I went to pay, they wrote down two prices on a small paper and gave it to me (notebook paper) Both the pedicure and manicure ended up being well over what was advertised. I ended up paying $105 all together for this beautiful experience; and honestly I was just happy to get out of there. I don't usually review, but as someone who rarely gets there nails done, I don't want this happening to the next person.
This and all nail places are owned by the same woman who owns, NATURAL NAILS. they dont care about unhappy customers, cause you will go to another shop THEY OWN. I have gone back to driving to New Braunfels to get nail done
