The Hair Bar in Monroe, NY

Went here yesterday (5/18/2023) for a touch up of highlights and a haircut with Marissa! arrived early to my appointment, but that's okay as i was able to get started right away. We did a full head of highlights, blonde, and it was an easy process. Marissa was great at asking what i wanted, even added highlights on my last strand of hair to highlight my face. Even the washing hair process is fun! i love the massage all over my head while applying shampoo and conditioner. It was also an easy haircut process, where Marissa listened to my needs and got right on it! Loved that she kept my hair curly too. Overall, happy with the results. Paid with Cash, left a tip, and was on my merry way! Will be back when i need a haircut!

Marissa was amazing, she helped educate me on how to maintain. Marissa was honest during the consultation and listened to what my needs were and how we could achieve that. I was really looking for something low maintenance because I'm terrible at the follow up appointments. I'm very satisfied with the color. Danielle also washed me out the first time and had to de-tangle after my hair processed. It's usually an unpleasant process, but she was really gentle and talked with me the entire time. I barely noticed by the time she was done. Mallory gave literally the best massage ever after washing my hair. It was so relaxing and I could 100% fall asleep. This might be the first salon I've gone to that I've noticed they give an actual massage at the end, instead of just giving you a wet towel to hold.

They are ok Not bad at all but not outstanding either. They present well and the work is average. I was a bit miffed because they asked me to make a deposit due to my cancelling a few times. I understand thwt is not good for business but as a doctor my scheduke can shift in a moments notice and then the well also broke I felt treated as if they thought I was just not taking them seriously and just cancelled willy nilly which was never the case. I did consider the deposit as the place is not awful but i.think I would have to feel the place is outstanding to do that. Anyway I have found another 5 star place and hopefully they are very good. I stand eith a 3 star

Maggie is the best! Color is always extrodinary and my cut always on point. Not a better stylist on the planet! Love her!!!!

I've posted in the past what an amazing job Maggie has done on my hair but needed to share how thankful I am for her now.. more than ever. For the last year I've battled Breast cancer and lost my hair. Maggie has gone over and beyond, she has cut my wig and refused to take my money .. she just told me "keep fighting". My hair is finally growing back and Maggie has done a beautiful job shaping it up and making me feel confident, beautiful, and feminine. Her energy is not only positive, but sincere and sweet .. something I needed throughout this last year. Unfortunately inflation has hit this country hard, and prices have increased .. products, heat, gas to get to work and the prices reflect this. Thank you Maggie for always being wonderful... I'm so happy I listened to everyone who recommended you years ago
