The people are nice, but they don't care if they do a bad job. I stopped going here a few years ago, but thought maybe things had gotten better. And it was a simple French tip acrylic set. But, no. It's gotten worse and I heard them say they haven't had a lot of customers lately. I see why. First, it shouldn't take 3 hours for a simple French tip set. But, it did. I mean 3 hours working on the nails, no wait time. Literally 3 hours to work on them. And it was dead in there. I've gotten a pedicure and manicure at a busy shop in far less time. Along the way, I nicely let the guy know that I can see my real nail through the clear acrylic. He assured me I wouldn't see that in the end. I know that usually an opaque acrylic powder is used, not clear. But, I thought maybe he was going to use a top coat or something that made the real nail not show through. With it taking so long, I thought he at least was doing a detailed job. I didn't want to knit pick. But, once in a while, I nicely let him know there were things that concerned me, especially the real nail showing through. Again, he assured me not to worry. Well, he gets done and I show him that you can see my real nail and where the false nail begins, through the clear acrylic. He asked if I liked my nails and I said I don't. The lady who also works there came over to see and all she said was "sorry". I asked if they could at least not charge the full price since it was not a good job at all. The man says I can come back tomorrow to redo them and they'd take 15% off of the new set. I remained calm and nice, but explained that I work tomorrow and won't have another 3 hours to sit to get them done. Plus, why should I pay anything to have them corrected (I didn't say that part aloud). It was just ridiculous. It's not like I hadn't asked about my real nail and the fake tip showing through. With the first 2 nails he could have stopped and used the correct acrylic powder, but chose not to. I am so disappointed. And their reaction of basically "oh well" was very disappointing. I won't ever go back. I'll keep going to Bastrop. If they really don't have a lot of business like I heard them say, then I see why. It was the first time I can ever remember not tipping for a service. Just sad and frustrating. In addition to seeing the real nail through the acrylic, there are also bumps and bubbles throughout several nails.
Everyone in there was so nice! They did an AMAZING job on my mom and I nails. Took their time with everything. Also very reasonable prices. Can't recommend this place enough!!!
The manger needs to come back !! because the people are doing awful at the nails here rn like he didn't apply the acrylic right on my nails literally fell right off! there not understanding what your saying to them at all
I went in a got a full set of acrylic nails and they look awful! I will never go back to this place. There is really no acrylic on the nails it looks like he just put the nail polish on my nails. Didn't want to cause a fuss because I had been waiting but will not be going back.
The technicians here are SO kind and do an amazing job. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.
