Supercuts in Upper Montclair, NJ

I had a great experience at this salon. Milli was very kind and professional. I got a beautiful haircut and amazing Highlights. She was was always willing to answer my questions in a very kind way. I'll come back in the Fall for a touch-up. Thanks Milli!!!

The last couple of experiences I had at Supercuts were terrible. A stylist (who I will not name) was nice but she did not do a consult, said she knew what I needed, and proceeded with the wrong color. She colored my hair black when I usually get dark brown. She tried to talk me into highlights which would make it all blend in. I tried that and it was terrible. (Think zebra). I had her darken the tone before I left, but when I got home it was embarrassingly bad and I had an event the next day. I had to get it redone elsewhere since both services were not good and I did not want to spend another few hours while she tried to fix it. I called the following Monday for a refund and the person said they will ask the owner and call me back. They did not call me back. I tried again and they once again said the manager will call back. Over two weeks later, I finally spoke with the Manager, who offered a discount on the next service. Really? Why would I ever go back? Terrible management and response. I would not write this up but in all, it was nearly $200... Sorry but if it was $50 I would simply never come back. But at this price, they should have refunded my money. I guess they are good for haircuts but color where they charge a fortune...I am warning others not to waste their time and money. I guess because they are in Montclair, they don't care. Someone else will get ripped off. Bad business attitude.

If I could give - stars I would!! Fastest haircut I have ever had!! She shaved a strip on 1 side of my head!! Down to a shadow!! Her co-works just laughed!!

Showed them a specific picture of what I wanted and explained that my other stylist lightened my hair and then put a glaze over it. She then proceeds to only bleach my roots, making the top of my head orange and leaving patches all over. I went back and consulted with the manager who said it would be another $150 to do what I asked for because it's a different process, even though I think I explained pretty thoroughly what I wanted done. Definitely see why Supercuts is known for only being able to cut men's hair.

I had a great experience yesterday. The minute I walked in someone acknowledged me and in just a few short minutes, Melissa was asking me to come and sit down. She was extremely friendly and competent at her job. She did an excellent job on my haircut and I will definitely be coming back to her again.
