After going to the McCandless location twice, I was very upset by my second experience. I understand the business is geared towards 20 min or less cuts, but I have easy hair to cut & left w/o no one noticing I had a haircut - even me. I've gone to SuperCuts for years thruout the country. I decided to try a new location in another busy area hoping talent would still be found where there is high market demand. I made the right decision. Thanks for taking time to listen to my desires while offering expertise to deliver the best result. It was A LOT of HAIR to deal with for $28! And I STILL got out w/I 30 min. End Result? Beautiful.
In the middle of my haircut at the McKnight location, the stylist let me know that she was not vaccinated and was choosing to "wait and see". I find this unacceptable for a customer contact worker. She wore an open scarf rather than a face mask. If this is an issue for you, you may choose to ask about the vaccination status of your stylist in advance or choose a different salon until the owner requires that her employees be vaccinated.
I visited this location of Supercuts for a wash and trim. I showed up 40 minutes before closing time. I was the only customer there. The employee made a face at me and said that she did not have time to wash and trim my hair, but she took me anyway. The wash and trim lasted 20 minutes, so we finished 20 minutes before her closing time. During the trim, she sang and danced. She wanted to cut off one inch rather than the half of an inch that I had requested. When I went home, I noticed that the trim was jagged and uneven, so I tried to straighten the ends myself.
My son got his hair cut there today and it is terrible. Behind his ears weren't trimmed. His bangs were not straight and there were harsh lines throughout his hair where it was cut. There was no blending done at all. It took me 5 minutes at home to fix it which shouldn't have needed to happen since we paid someone to cut his hair.
Not good with kids at this location. The redhead was curt and rude. I'll be going to other Supercuts locations in the future. She also tried to keep all of my change at check out, about 8 dollars. I usually tip 5.
