Supercuts in Latham, NY

If I could write a worse review I would. Maria seems to be the good one there. The gentlemen with 'dread locks' destroyed my daughters hair. It was a stunning approx. 8" long. Her hair was her mother's hair who's not around. We always cherished the haircut as a symbol of her mother. I asked for a shoulder length cut. In literally one cut he cut off all her hair, she looks like a boy. She;s 17 and goes back to school in two months. I know it's only a haircut but it was a legacy to her mother, 17 year old girl, high school, cut like that, not a good situation. Obviously, stay away, especially the guy there, you get what you pay for.

I rarely do reviews of any kind, but this time I feel it was necessary. I just wanted the stylist to follow the lines of my current cut and even showed him a picture of what it should look like in the end. I opted for the shampoo and felt the stylist was a little too uncomfortably close to me. I either ended up with hot water or cold water and he was very rough with his shampoo and conditioner delivery. When he was done with the cut, I looked at him and asked him if he even took anything off. He said yes and I honestly found very few pieces of hair as evidence until he thinned it out. He called it texturizing but it was just thinning shears. He started to blow dry it and it seemed to take forever. When he said he was done I was shocked. There were damp patches and it was by far a smooth look. He offered to fix it and proceeded to do so but then complained that he couldn't use the spiral brush because he injured his wrist and preferred to use a regular brush. Maybe he shouldn't be a hairdresser? At that point, I was just done and ready to leave. When I got home my husband said "I thought you were going for a hair cut and blow dry"? "Exactly" is what I thought. Never again!!!

If I could give this salon 0 stars I would completely. The staff is INCREDIBLY rude. I've never faced such attitude from someone, and one particular stylist as well. I waited SEVENTY minutes for a toddler haircut that took 5. It is beyond me why you "call ahead" for a set appointment time yet they will take walk ins ahead of you.... When I "checked in" I was told about 15 minutes. I live an hour away and ended up getting home very late in the evening with a cranky baby and a toddler before her first day of school. It took about 6 minutes for the tiniest trim of my daughters hair. Any reasonable person probably would have left after, say, 40 minutes or so. But I had already wasted so much of my time I figured I'd see out another 10 min wait. Then another. Then... another. I am being denied a refund because the service (of clipping about three sections of toddler hair) was performed. Mind you, after we waited for an hour and ten minutes. I look forward to warning all of my friends of this salon and incredibly rude staff as I wouldn't even want to recommend the president get his toupee cut there.

When I checked in, there was one gentleman in front of me. I was told it would take about 15 minutes until I was helped but it ended up being close to an hour. ONE GUY IN FRONT OF ME getting a simple hair cut. It should have only taken 10-15 minutes but it took close to an hour, which is inexcusable. I could not wait any longer so I left before being helped. Waste of time...

Really simple request for a fade. Haircut was ok. What really blew my mind was that when she finished and use the hot towel and didn't brush or blowdry any of the hair off my face. I was literally covered in hair clippings after I left. I left feeling like an idiot and had to go to a public restroom to rinse off. Won't be back
