Supercuts in Bakersfield, CA

Wait over an hour passed my appointment time. This is the third time in the last few months I've wait 30+ minutes after an appointment time. They need to hire 5-10 more employees. Only 2 stylists working is unacceptable for how busy this location gets.

My first time going to this place, they made my appointment for my daughter and me at 2:15 and 2:45 we waited for over 1 hour we arrived 10 minutes before our appointment. Another person came after us and they put them first. No one told us anything we were just told that there was a little bit of wait time. Not a good experience for the first time being there.

First off, I would like to say that stylist Sofia is a nice person and gives a good haircut. I've had my hair cut here a couple times recently because I would be in the neighborhood and it's convenient, but I'm always hesitant about going to this salon for reasons that have nothing to do with Sofia. Please read the full review. Here's an example and one of the reasons why: Months ago I had an appointment to have my hair cut, but my appointment wasn't honored. It sounds crazy but they didn't cut my hair for almost 2 1/2 hours after my appointment time. I would have left far before that but the next day was a holiday and I needed a haircut before leaving town. I'm not sure of all the reasons why it took about 2 1/2 hours to honor my appointment, but I became aware of several. 1) Despite the lobby being full the stylists kept taking walk-ins and fitting them in as best they could. I get it, they don't want to see money walk, but when you aren't honoring appointments and you have people waiting 2 1/2 hours then that's a problem. 2) Stylists were taking multiple breaks when they shouldn't be. For example, I was there about 2 1/2 hours before my haircut and in that time period one stylist took 3 breaks and what had to be a lunch. Obviously everyone is allowed breaks and a lunch, and I certainly look forward to and take mine on the job, but 3 breaks + a lunch within a 2 1/2 hour period while you have a room full of customers? 3) There were kids of stylists running about the entire time that I was there for that haircut, and a stylist gave several of her kids haircuts instead of customers. There were no register transaction after the kids' haircuts and nothing was adjusted on their queue. The kids were clearly just given priority so they could get haircuts. Not very professional. While I was there a guy walked in and said he was there for an appointment. At this time the gal said something to the effect of" it's gonna be about an hour and a half" and he said something like," same as yesterday, huh? I'll wait this time." Sadly it's a long wait every time when you have an appointment there. It's 40 min or more just about every time unless you are the only person in there for a haircut. I attempted to provide feedback by contacting the owner of all the Bakersfield Supercuts locations at the new salon I started going to, the Supercuts@ 9530 Hageman Road, Bakersfield, CA, 93312, but the 9530 Hageman Road location and Supercuts' website were no help. I had an appointment at 7pm. I arrived at 6:30pm, 30 min early, the door was closed. 2 employees were inside, Tiffany and Christal. Christal was just watching Tiffany cut a young boy's hair. I knocked. Christal signaled me to wait, so I waited. 10 min passed. When Christal opened the door. She told me they were closed and Tiffany in the back said they've been closed since 5pm. Thanks to these 2 girls, I will remove my monthly membership subscription due to POOR customer service. 1. Closed store early with 2. No courtesy call 3. Lied about closing at 5p. When they were cutting someone's hair while I waited at 6:30p. 4. Made me wait for nothing

Beginning to see a trend with this company. Never staffed, they don't answer the phones, can't book an appointment on their site. Just sit there and hope everyone coming in doesn't know the employee and a family of 6 walks in. I've invested this much time so I better stay but if I didn't already prepay this, I'd leave. No offense to the employees, but irritating as a customer. Thought changing locations would make a difference but I was wrong.
