Super Nails in Port Angeles, WA

I went to Super Nails yesterday for a Mani and the owner, Tony was very rude, disrespectful as to what I wanted and began yelling at me trying to get me to do what he wanted not what I wanted. I asked him to calm down three times before I finally walked out. All I wanted was a color change. He told his wife to take over but I told them both no, I'm done. I refuse to be disrespected. As I was leaving Tony yelled at me to go find some place beta. No problem there!! The previous owner was just as bad and I will never return nor will I ever refer anyone to this place!

I've tried SN three times and am new to the area. The owner has been in the same location for 28-years and is experienced and had the best rates around. Recently, she raised her prices and is on-par with the other nail shops. Kim's main issue (the owner) is the haste with which she performs the mani/pedis. It's as if - she equates good quality with speed. And that's not it. Instead of being relaxed, I was made to feel tense and anxious. When a pedicure is rushed the way she does; it's not pleasurable, especially so when a gellish is being removed with the sandpaper dremel tip. I had to ask her twice to slow down because it kinda hurt. Then she cut my toenails at the edges at an angle when I asked for straight across. This practice causes the toenails to grow "ingrown." Another thing that was on the "gross" side and isn't really being done anymore [in other shops] is not having any post-pedi flip-flops to use. I had to walk on the filthy floor to get my nails done afterward and also wash my hands for the final polish. Bleh. The last straw was when Kim chastised me for having her run my debit card as credit because I couldn't remember my pin. I had thoughtfully brought the card out to pre-pay before my nail polish so it would be easier and in typical "Kim fashion" she ran it before I could qualify for her to do so as "credit." She said something along the lines of: if we had been busy, this would have wasted time, you need to tell me that it is credit first (she said this twice). And this was after I said, "oh, I forgot to tell you it was to be run as credit." It's as though I hadn't spoken, though the same thing had happened the first time I used her service(s). She was all but stomping her foot about it all. It's clear Kim's unhappy with her lot there, and probably should pass on the baton to someone else. To be fair, with her husband out-of-country and no help, it is challenging. But the three times I came in, there just wasn't any customers or perhaps one. Cleanliness is not a top priority either. Kim's become complacent and bitter. That's my take. I can't recommend.

I went in today 10/21/22 I had an appointment for 12pm sat waiting for over a hour everyone was than gone the lady started on my nails right away started rushing through my nails. She did a very poor job didn't even do my cuticles nor did she put oil on my nails after she said do u like? No I don't my middle fingers are all messed up. She than Stated you will like once I polish.. lol no I won't. Not only did I wait over an hour but she than stated she wanted 75$

This is a great small family owned business! Kim and Tony are kind, generous and took the time to do our manicures and pedicures. They were able to reshape my husband's broken nail and their rates are very affordable. I definitely recommend stopping by when in Port Angeles!

Wow- sooo bad. I tried them once 3 yrs back, and nothing has improved. Had average pedi done, imperfect. I smeared a nail, returned in 15 min to have touch up. Instead of taking off layer and redoing, she merely smeared over it, using her finger to do so. Incredible. Thick and goopy. I didn't expect redoing one nail would be such a big deal- all the sighing she did was ridiculous, especially since I left a generous tip the first time I left. Rude, awful job and not very clean. Avoid.
