Suki's Spa in Greenport, NY

I went here 2x. First experience was fine, nothing extravagant. The second time I went and asked the price for mani/pedi before I booked an appt. I was in shock at the large increase in price. I kindly told her thank you but the price was a bit too steep.The woman who I think was the owner told me to leave and never come back. I am not surprised they closed with poor customer service like this!

I had a lovely mani pedi here this week. The spa is charming and clean. Ellie (I think) did my service and she was sweet and did such a great job. Not sure what's up with the 3 stars but I will definitely be back.

they are nice and behave in a professional manner, and I'm sure it's a nice nail salon. But DO NOT WAX HERE. They use wax that has not been used in salons for at least 15 years to my knowledge, especially not in delicate areas. I'm lucky I wasn't bruised. She couldn't really get hair out easily, I've never had that experience before. Sorry but I think they should stick to nails and at least let women know that they are not professional waxing salon.

Their manicures are good but the environment is made unpleasant by the technicians talking to each other about how miserable they are, how much they hate the boss, and making the occasional rude comment about the customers they are working on. These discussions are in Spanish, which is obviously pretty widely understood and spoken. I can't be the only customer who has cringed as they insulted my polish choices or commented on the tipping habits of other customers or talked about their hatred for the job who sat uncomfortably through their manicure wondering if I should let them know I understood every word, wondering if I should even be patronizing a place whose employees are so unhappy, and generally regretting my choice to come in. For what it's worth, the one time they did start talking about me personally I joined the convo and they stopped talking about me and were nice and friendly but it was super awkward and when I came in really shortly thereafter they didn't recognize me even though I had the same tech. I have been in occasionally when I can't find another appointment but would only recommend in an emergency and if you're among the many people in the world fluent or even conversant in Spanish, maybe decide first if you'll let them know right away or try to tune out the conversations (or, if that's your thing I guess just enjoy eavesdropping)

Ask for May, she's the best! The space is open early which is nice to squeeze in a little self care before work or a long day out!
