Style Nail in Indianapolis, IN

i have been here several times...mostly for polish changes with gel..i have always gotten in an out in record time and with expertise.
i like that there is no scraping involved with removing old gel. LYNN could not be more caring...seemed to go that extra mile with each step.  
I once went in for polish change for both hands and feet and was out in 55 minutes!! and the treatment was superb. Always proud to show my nails.
i do esp recommend Lynn.
i will continue going back here.

This the first negative review I've written on Yelp, and I feel bad dogging on any small business in this pandemic, but I also don't want other people to waste their hard-earned money at this salon.
I went to this salon because I impulsively decided I wanted a gel manicure and was too impatient to wait for a good salon. I ignored a lot of warning signs here. There's another nail salon right across the street that had an hour-long wait for walk-ins and people were still lining up and waiting there rather than go to Style Nail (no wait). I figured I'd take my chances anyway (mistake). My technician was literally on the phone the entire time she was doing my nails, running some sort of second side hustle. I thought "you know, I admire the enterprising spirit and hopefully she can do two things well at once", but I was wrong. I ended up with what was easily the worst manicure of my life. She chopped my nails super short and got the gel polish all over my cuticles. Was I the first manicure she'd ever done? My nails were hideous and I left the salon almost in tears despite paying good money. Since the polish was on the cuticles, it peeled off after only a couple days. I honestly don't understand how this place gets any customers at all.
Seriously DO NOT GO HERE. Pros: there's usually no wait. Cons: horrible customer service, disastrous manicures. There's really no reason to waste your time and money here.

I don't know why the negative reviews. I have been coming here on and off for many years and keep coming back. Lynn has done my pedi a few times and is very sweet and kind always doing a great job. The salon is set up with all the protections from COVID. I feel safe here. Lots of different colors to choice from. I went out on a limb and did a deep eggplant purple color for fall.

Less than 3 days later and not even to mention that I had to ask the lady to actually paint my entire nail , just wanted a simple mani and pedi . Left with both big toe nails  cut in half didn't notice till it was already drying and onto my fingers ... not going to talk about the rushed and get our attitude of the employee ! My regular nail salon is currently closed till end of July ! Please don't go here if you expect to have your nails done correctly or get a problem fixed that is  OBVIOUS because the technician will make up excuses ! Please save your 50$ ( prices different than on website then when you have to pay halfway through ) I don't even want to wear flip flops because my toe nails are so crooked and it's embarrassing

Michelle was very rude to me.  I asked for the man who does my nails and she said he wasn't in.  I asked her when he would be in and she said it might be two weeks due ot the coronavirus.  I was disappointed but I understood.  Then she told me that they couldn't please me that I was always asking for the same people.  

I thought if you had a favorite tech that it was acceptable to request them.  That's the way you run a business.  I promptly walked out.

I called later that day and asked for Michelle as I wanted to express my feelings.  I told her that I didn't understand why she spoke to me the way she did.  She said that I always had to ask for a certain tech and that no one else could please me.  Again, if you have a favorite you should be able to request them.  

She started yelling...yes I mean yelling and hung up on me.  

I will not be back.  Went to BR Nails and found them to be superior to Style Nail.  They actually have disposable plastic liners for each foot tub for a pedicure.  They also use a one time disposable nail file and buffer.  This made me see just how BR Nails devotes extra time and money for cleanliness.
