The ladies are very nice however their prices are very deceptive they told me 150 for a balayage and they ended up charging me 300$. I was happy with my color but I did not appreciate the random price change at the end. Like what do i say no thank you? Im sorry but I won't be returning

Coming from Los Angeles, I was thrilled to find a salon that offered sugar waxing. Sure, it is pricey for a college town BUT for people like me that care about quality and giving up other forms of entertainment for such services, it was worth every penny. Chelsea is a sweetheart and helped me overcome some major trauma as a result of mortifying sugar waxing experiences. She was always going above and beyond and so understanding if I had to cut out a few services due to financial reasons (i.e. when I was unemployed). With her method of sugaring, you hardly feel pain (though of course that can vary by person!). Jackie, a newcomer (at the time), is also great at sugar waxing. I have also received haircuts and color from here and had them done by Abby, Brooke, and various others. They have always done a fabulous job and the few times I was unhappy about something (because at first we all know it can take some time explaining what sort of "complex" haircut/style/color we want), they were willing to fix it for a minimal to no charge. Their prices for sugaring and hair services are pretty much on par with any upscale place but you're also paying for the service received (i.e. drinks, snacks, invites to events, etc.). Also, I LOVE the fact that purchasing products here pays for employee education.

I would like to address the many reviews complaints about the "hidden" cancellation policy. Most salons have such a policy (at least in big cities all over the world from Asia to the US) and from a business perspective, it's totally vital to have. Unless you have never ever been to a salon, you might not know such a policy exists but just like you would ask at a clothing store of their return policy, one should be asking about a cancellation policy anyway.

All in all, whether you're a student or an adult with a job, I would not shy away from this place just because of the price tag. Trust me, comparing it to Los Angeles prices, hair services are SO reasonable and the staff are really nice. If you have had a bad experience here, I'm sorry to hear but I hope you can give this salon another try because it's really an amazing and warm place to be both as a customer and as an employee (or so I've heard!). If it doesn't float your boat, well that's OK but I'll be rooting you find your place soon! It's never easy going to new salons when you move!

I've been here twice, and let me first say that I enjoyed the two women who worked on me. While I think the services were over-priced, I did enjoy their attention to detail and conversation. However . . . I went in the first time for a full day of services (facial; manicure; pedicure). The facial room is right beside the pedicure / manicure stations, so no privacy really; and I went there to relax, but every time the front door opened, the slamming noise reverberated into the room; hard to relax. Their colors for shellac manicures and regular pedicures do not match, so I had to get 'close'. They need a better selection of colors. But, as I enjoyed the girls, I sucked it up and made another appointment for my nails to be re-done.

The second time everything went fine - took a lot longer than it should have, but the quality was still good. The day before my 3rd appointment, I found out I had customers coming into my own small business at the same time as the appointment (several thousands of dollars worth of sales), so I called to cancel and was told I had to pay half of the services. No wiggle room; no understanding of another small business trying to make money; just demanded a credit card number. I gave it to them - but I will not be back. If the two girls who worked on me ever move salons, I'll go see them. But definitely won't be back to Studio 7 either in their current or new locations.

Beware of their cancelation policy!!  They tried to charge us 1/2 of the price service for cancelling after performing NO service!!   Thank goodness there was NO credit card on file.
