I waited a long time to write this review.
Positive:  Rez did a great job on my color. I was very pleased. It has lasted 6 weeks which is the most I can expect
Negative:  my cut was a disaster.  I showed up with a bob and a picture of former bobs. I asked for a color and cut. As noted, color was fine. But I got a 1970 Dorothy Hamel wedge!   The total opposite of a bob

When Rez showed me my hair, I asked" Is my hair longer in the front?"  She said my hair was too short for the cut I asked for... I came in for a trim!  I looked like a mix between a former 1960's Beetle and Dorothy!  
 I didn't want to hurt her business but 7 weeks later, as I try to find a new salon, I still don't know how to get my cut fixed
 Beware- look at the back of the hair of Rez, the receptionist and 2 of the stylists. If you want your back to be an uneven wedge, they have it done.... Anything else is beyond them.  
I regret hurting her business, but I can't let others be as disappointed as I was.  I was traveling for our 30 th Anniversary and refused my husband to take any pictures because it looked so stupidly bad.

So the ladies who work here are great except for the fact that I got completely ripped off. My hair looked amazing the day I left and I was completely happy with it. With in 3 days it's completely washed out. I paid $150 for this.... I've been coloring my hair for years abs haven't changed anything to it. I'm very annoyed this happened and

So I will say that they were able to get me in same day without an appointment however I still ended up waiting a bit and I did not receive a good haircut. When I first walked in the woman who would ultimately be styling me was still working with someone else. She was blow drying her hair and didn't seem to be in a rush even though I was seated waiting in the front area. I finally did get seated in her chair. Now. I did not think I was asking got anything difficult, yet if came out terrible. I showed the woman a picture of what I wanted and she made it seem as if she could do it easily. She offered to wash my hair but I told her I didn't want that because I had just washed it. So she wet it and sat me back in the chair and proceeded to cut it. She cut a little off the back and asked me to "feel it" I'm not an expert Kor do I know what I should be feeling for. So I just went along with it. She proceeded to cut a little bit more off, and then someone else came in to see her (I'm assuming a regular client). She finished up and said to me "if you see any bring you don't like you're welcome to come back"...with my hair completely wet she walked me to the front desk where I checked out. The lady said since I was firs time customer I'd be getting a 20% discount. The woman before me (a white woman) got a haircut and her hair was blow dried and styled and she paid $36. I was told that was my price same and I my haircut was rushed and it was not blow dried! I am a Hispanic woman and I never assume race is an issue but things just didn't add up. I went home and cried because of how bad my haircut was. Thankfully style it doesn't look bad and I know my hair will grow back but ultimately I was extremely dissatisfied with the entire process.

This is a friendly and clean salon.You can get a great color, cut and style at Salon K Studio at reasonable price. My stylist is the owner Rez and she caters to my every hair salon need to include placing a fan near me to adjust my temperature. The Ref product line was new to me but is just perfect for color and styling. I have been a client here for six months and do not plan on going anywhere else!

To me, this is the best salon in Durham and surrounding areas. Everyone is a highly skilled stylist, and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. Helen is great. Rez, too. Whitney will make you feel like she's your best friend. You should check this place out.
