Strand Hair Studio in Saratoga Springs, NY

Full disclosure, I am one of those picky NYCidiots, but have been upstate for a few weeks now. Now that NY is beyond Phase 2 (or 3? or 47? I don't know anymore), it was finally time to do something with my grown out greys and stringy hair. It was looking scary to say the least, ask my mother, she'd be sure to tell you how bad it looked. Kristen is an arteeest! She whipped me up a 'do that feels healthy and looks amazing. While I may be picky, I am not well-versed on what looks good for my mane, but Kristen knew exactly what to recommend, and boy she delivered! More than that, Kristen is incredibly friendly, and one of the most positive people I've ever spoken to. Had my hair not even looked as wonderful as it does, I'm sure I would have still left with a smile on my face, she is infectious! Speaking of infectious, The Strand is both beautiful and extremely clean. Crisp white decor can sometimes lack forgiveness in terms of dust or dirt, and this place was immaculate. And no masks are removed in the making of some seriously beautiful hair. I loved it so much I made an appointment for six weeks from now (which I personally never do). Can't wait to see her again!

This place is the best! Most of the clients are women, but gentlemen are always welcome. Appointments are necessary.

Justin is my stylist and since going to him, my hair relationship has literally been TRANSFORMED! I have naturally curly hair which is fine in front and thicker in back....I was coloring and highlighting in my own for several years, and now my hair has tone cut and healthiness like Hollywood!! The Oribe products are amazing too but Justin is a rock star!

This hair salon is top notch. They use Oribe products which are top of the line and smell amazing! Kerri, Brittany, Justin, Kevin, and Kristen are all amazing stylists and colorists! I always feel beautiful when I leave there. Thank you all for making my hair amazing!!

Rare occurrences in my life: 1) Leaving a hair salon feeling more than pleased with the result, and 2) writing a review for anything, ever. My visit to Strand warrants this review, and was certainly worth my time and money. I had a somewhat dull, grown-out and rough-looking color job on my hair when I walked in. I left with a fresh, perfectly dimensioned, healthy color. I've been growing my hair out and have hesitated to even get it trimmed because of too many times having too much taken off at salons, or the style being tampered with too much in the process. I'll be visiting Strand regularly because I feel I can trust their care of my hair for whatever style I describe. Brittany had good recommendations to compliment the things I requested, and I'm immensely pleased with the result.
