Steven Gerard's Signature Salon in Myrtle Beach, SC

I completely disagree with the previous review. The owner, Annette, is great. She treats customers with nothing but respect, is very experienced, and although she is extremely busy during the summer, she is always flexible and willing to work you into her schedule. I've left pleased everytime I've visited Steven Gerard's Signature Hair Salon, and refuse to get my hair cut anywhere else!

So today I decided to get a wash and blow dry.Never thinking that I was entering an environment in which I would have to be subjected to rudeness and disrespect. If i can give a lesser star to this place a would. By far my worst experience. Not so much the horrible blowdry, but the "owners" attitude was by far the worse. Keep away from this place!!! I have never had to report a company to the BBB, nonetheless with this one I will.

worst place ever.....   got my hair done in september by this young lady in the first chair...... she was unethical, rude and really didnt know what she was doing. when i decided to express to her the way i wanted my hair done, she got very defensive and stated to me to leave the salon or else she would call the police.  

i am not even from sc- and due to this experience i dont even think i will go back... horrible staff..... i truly felt i was being discriminated against- due to the fact that i am hispanic from nyc

Quite possibly the worst haircut I have ever had.  She clearly did not listen to anything I said in our "consultation" and obviously had little or no experience cutting hair   She literally just chopped, chopped,chopped. How this salon was voted #1 is beyond me if this is the kind of service it provides.  There must be SOMEONE in this town who knows how to cut and style hair.

I am appalled that this hair salon got voted number one and is considered 5 stars. I went to this salon trusting other reviews and had a horrible experience. I had Annette as my stylist. Very sweet lady but did not do the job that I asked. I went in as a blonde wanting to leave with dark chocolate brown in color. She explained that the first time it may not fully pull through and I would need to come back. I understood and like she said I found a week later my hair practically blonde again. I called and made an appt to come back which they were very accommodating. When I left the salon after paying the same amount as the first time my hair was NO different.

I left feeling very disappointed and will not return.
