Star Nails in Kankakee, IL

Don't waste your time here. I only came here because I couldn't get into my normal girl. Huge mistake! It's definitely not clean. No one washed or sanitized their hands from one client to the next, nor did they sanitize the work station. Didn't have me wash my hands after filing before polish, never asked what product I wanted either. It's been one day and they're already lifting so I'll have to have them removed because the product is also over my cuticle which means as soon as it grows out it'll be snagging on everything. This place is disgusting and unprofessional. I'd give it zero stars, but I have to put at least one to post this review.

I'm officially done coming here. Returned several months ago. The last three times, the price mysteriously went up to $40 for a fill. (Sign states $35 and up, and I always paid $35) The first time, I had the lady in the first chair so figured that was a thing - pay more for experience. The second time I had a completely new and inexperienced girl. I paid $40 again. Everything took twice as long, and on two occasions two male workers just came and watched her, saying nothing, and creeped me out. The third time was two weeks ago. I paid $40 for the same new girl. One of my nails started to pull up almost immediately and at least half my nails had such excessive powder at the cuticle line that they had like ridges which caught on everything. I was so irked, and yet knew I couldn't explain satisfactorily the issue where no one speaks English. Instead I went after 6 days to LC Nails on Station. I had Ryan, who spoke English, knew what he was doing and did a great job. Oh, and he charged $35. I'm done with Star Nails.

They were able to take my walk-in promptly. The business is nicely decorated and clean. I ordered a manicure and pedicure (no polish on toes). Was totally pampered during my pedicure. Loved the messaging chair while I picked out my nail color from about 300 different colors. She was very tender on my legs and feet and they felt wonderful for hours when she was finished. She thought of everything. Then on to the manicure . . . a quick, professional manicure, applying my favorite color. The polish she used is supposed to stay on for 21 days. Total price . . . $50 and my expenses was so pleasant that I gave her a $10 tip.

I came here a week ago paid 70 dollars for my nails that look like shit and now I have to pay another 55 dollars to have someone else fix them I work hard for my money and I will never go back to star nails they dont take pride in their work this is horrible please dont waste your time or money with these people they suck

I got my eyelashes done for my birthday weekend on a Friday afternoon then Saturday morning I went to wash my face then it yanked off I payed the eyelash woman $17 and called them to see if they can redo them and she told me no and then wanted to speak gibberish .
