The most unsanitary nail salon I have ever been to. There were other peoples finger nail clippings on the tables. They did not change the towels in between customers or sanitize the tools. The lady doing my pedicure dropped the foot scrapper on the floor mid pedicure then proceeded to pick it up off of the floor and use it on my feet. Not to mention that the girls working in there were braiding each others hair while they were painting customers nails. Overall, very unprofessional and unclean. I would go somewhere else.
I've been using Star Nails for close to 3 years. John and Jenny have always done an awesome job including suggesting what method that I need to use, ie. dips or solar, which have always been right on the money. The atmosphere is always light but professional and as owners they engage with their clients very well. All of the staff, including Sandra and her crew of pedicurists are so friendly and accommodating as well as the price is right. I've taken my oldest granddaughter in as a "fun day" and the staff took great care of her and didn't suggest an actual manicure but just painted them as I had asked (she was only 8 at the time)
I highly recommend getting your nails done here. Getting an appt seemed easier than a walk-in.
Do they not usually do longer nails? I went in with my little sister and we wanted to do matchy matchy long nails and they were bothered by that. They kept bringing up how long they were like they were struggling to do them, then the lady just ended up switching places with the owner so he could do my nails instead. Either way they turned out really good they just made it a really awkward experience for me that lasted up to 2 hours.
I had another local nail tech cancel on me the day before I flew out for my elopement/wedding. The owner at Star Nails not only got me in last minute after never even having me as a client before, but he stayed after hours to get my nails finished. They were gorgeous, perfect! I am forever thankful to them.
