Sport Clips Haircuts of Turf Valley in Ellicott City, MD

My last haircut was a butcher job. This was the 4th hair butcher I tried at this location. For some reason, I went back today, completely expecting another butcher job...but they saved me by expecting me to wait endlessly while their computer caught up w their queue. I deleted the app and will never go back to sport clips. Not going to wait an hour for a hair cut I could give myself with a pair of rusty sissors.

I am not one to go out of my way to leave a review, go to or bad, but my experience was so poor that I had to. I used to regularly go here every 3-4 months. Most of the time I had a decent experience, other than a few times my haircut did not come out the way I wanted. I don't get it styled or anything special. The main reason I'm writing this is there was a stylist named Wendy who I believe is only there on Sundays. The whole time she was just talking about her trials and tribulations and how she was struggling for money. (I'm assuming this was her way of trying to get tips) But it was very awkward. And the haircut, which I just wanted a simple short on the sides and just a little bit longer up top, was not anywhere near what I have had in the past. There was patches that were left longer, the fade up was horrible, and there was spots where it looked like there was chunks taking out. I asked her three times to fix certain spots until I just wanted to get out of there. It was so bad of a haircut that I had to go directly to another location/company to have them fix it. (Clips and cuts) by home Depot. The stylists there don't sorry for me and only charge me half price even though I said I would pay full price just to get it fixed. I will say though that the stylist in sports clips are usually very nice and do decent work. My hang up was mainly just with this one stylist. But again it was such a bad experience and a complete waste of my money that I will not be going back to sports clips again. The two pictures that I attached are my after leaving sports clips and after I had to go to another cutlery and get it fixed.

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE. I asked to get faded haircut and was told because I wanted my haircut close I would need to pay an extra $10. That's $35 for a haircut. I'm going bald. I go to the Sport clips in Eldersburg as recent as last month and have never paid extra $ because they are not using guards. What a rip off.

I went to this location because the sports clips in Eldersburg was closed. I was hesitant to go here in the first place because hair cuts are sometimes hit or miss. This was an absolute whiff. Worst haircut I ever received. I think it was the stylists first time ever cutting hair as the other stylist would walk by her and give her tips WHILE CUTTING MY HAIR. What a waste of $30. The stylist told me she was 1 or 5 stylists there. That means you have a 1 in 5 or 20% chance of getting your worst haircut ever. Take the extra 10 minute drive and go to the location in Eldersburg. They do a much better job.

4 star for adults, 5 star for children. I've tried a few different stylists, and all but one have been pretty good. This won't be the best haircut you've ever had--but it's still a good cut for a great price. I would love to give this place a better review. The customer service is definitely five star worthy. It was easy to get in the queue online, and I didn't sit for very long before getting into the chair. Shampoo addition was great. It's not always worth it at every place, but here they do a great scalp massage. The pricing is fantastic, and they offer a Fire & Rescue discount.
