SOHO Hair Salon in Kapolei, HI

I've been here 2 times and both were wonderful. I got the Japanese straightening treatment and a lash set both times and left happy. The lashes look real and my hair came out just as I wanted. Prices are good and service is as well. 10/10!

I'm very satisfied to get my hair cut at Soho hair salon. The staff is very friendly. Ko is the person who cut my hair and he is very good and nice.

I haven't gotten my haircut in a while, but I decided to come here on recommendation from a friend. They mainly specialize in personalized styles, so they give you images to choose from if you don't know what you want to get.
The atmosphere is super great, as every stylist is very cheerful and outgoing. They want you to look great and will put all their effort in doing so.
I got a basic cut, which was $45. Their work is very pristine, and it feels as though your hair is being dusted away with a feather brush instead of being  cut. At any point of the haircut, I could have walked away happily because, even while cutting, your hair will never look bad.

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the service here and would absolutely come again, so long as I don't need a haircut every week.

We visit Ko'Olina each year and always book services at Soho Salon in Kapolei.

As a Japanese salon, they bring the meticulous work ethic and polite manners that are the hallmarks of Japanese culture, integrating them seamlessly into their services.

They speak English well but if needed  will use an app to translate any words to make sure they are communicating with clarity!

Every detail of the salon reflects Japanese aesthetic principles - cleanliness, simplicity, and sophistication, providing an environment that's as calming as it is luxurious. The staff is kind and they make you feel welcome from the moment you step in.

Whether it's a haircut, hair color, or a blowout, their services are consistent, always delivered with meticulous precision and care that shows their commitment to the famed Japanese work ethic.

A nice unexpected surprise: Soho Salon provides a few dollars as a parking reimbursement, a thoughtful gesture.

2nd Review...2nd visit. Went back to SOHO Salon to see Yuka. This time around I had a retouch, cut and highlights.

**If you request for Yuka, it's now $15. (Senior stylist) Otherwise you can choose other stylists for $5.

As mentioned before, Yuka is conscientious about the work that she does. Great shampoo, covered my ears with a plastic when dying/washing hair, and covered my eyes with a covering.
I had a simple blunt hair cut which was fine, Highlights appeared to be darker than expected, but I'm hoping with a few shampoos it lightens. (Yuka did mention it would) Next time around, I'll go lighter. After the fact...I did wash my hair, and it already appears to have lightened. Hooray!

I was impressed that  Yuka asked if I wear my hair up, and being that I do, she made sure to add highlights to the underside of my hair. (5 stars for noticing and asking.)

Downfall...PARKING! I was there for 3 hours...parking was a little over $10. Thankfully they do reimburse a portion for parking. I believe I was reimbursed $3 or $4.
On a positive note, lots of parking in front of the salon.
**Although prices are listed online, you should
have a consultation prior to going if you're getting other services such as color. I expected to pay less, but it was more. On a positive note, Yuka did go over all the costs of services that she was doing on my hair, and asked if the price was to my liking.

Another good thing is that Yuka works on one customer at a time. I've been to other salons where they do several clients at the same time, and I end up sitting and waiting, which makes my visit extremely long!! (My time is precious.)
I live in Kapolei and it's a nice short drive to Ko'Olina.
