Well, Yelpers, I've finally found my stylist!! I'm super excited!!
Best quick test: my hair not only moves freely, but it is supple and soft and feels so silky smooth!! Yes, yes and yes!
I have no burnt, fried ends, no split ends...my hair is super straight, but not stringy. My ends are clean but with some character--not blunt. I truly appreciate the fact that Ms. Monica took into account that my hair is fine.
My hair looks and FEELS amazing (soft, pliable with movement). I received a nice trim that kept the shape--and length--of my hair while getting rid of what I call wispy ends from a previous cut. I really liked that she based my (sensitive) scalp well before applying the relaxer for my touch up and she applied it so quickly and skillfully that I didn't realize she had transitioned. Days after the appointment there are still no signs of scalp irritation or any burns, which, for me, is a big deal since my scalp is so sensitive.
Setting up the appointment was super easy. I gave her a call, and though she was a bit busy at the time, she took a moment to send me the information that I'd need to get scheduled.
She is so pleasant, generous and a great conversationalist, so be kind and open and I'm sure your appointment will be amazing!
Tip: While I've submitted for an update to the salon's address here on Yelp, please be sure to use the address that she'll send you, so that you don't end up going to any of her previous locations for your appointment! I used the information she gave me and it was an easy find.

Tentative to your needs, not only is the owner an awesome stylist but she teaches you how to care for your hair at home as well. The atmosphere is welcoming too. Ohh did I mention she sales paparazzi jeweler and does facials, eyelashes and so much more. Monica is s woman of all trades
I LOVE HER FOR SOOOO MANY REASONS ! 1. She's very kind & friendly. 2. She's very good at what she does my hair turned out AMAZING !!!! She did exactly how I wanted it & it was by a picture. She's very talented. 3. She's very caring & it feels like just a place to unwind & relax. 4. Her prices are very affordable. 5. She works with you if your running late & she's always so understanding !!! The entire experience was amazing & she will be the only one doing my hair while I'm in Hawaii. I love this woman !!!
