I took my two teen girls here to get cuts. We saw Ryan and, what I didn't know was that we would end up finding the best stylist I've been to in, honestly 15 years. We have a second home here and I'm not lying when I tell you I'm already thinking of how I can plan our trips here around their next cuts. I'm going to be getting my own hair done with him before we leave as well. Super friendly, took what we all had in mind but offered suggestions too, to make things better and more flattering, seriously amazing. Definitely go here and ask for Ryan!

I give Gladys a zero if I could at the Seaboard location I went in to have my roots done and she told me it would be $67 not only did she not match my hair color now my roots are two shades lighter than the rest of my hair Shaytards me a $21 styling fee and she did not start style my hair I left with my hair soaking wet I told her that the color didn't match up and she said maybe if we drive the roots a little it'll all become one color LOL have you ever heard such a stupid thing so she handed me her hair dryer and I dried my roots just a little so I could show her that the color did not match and because I used her too she called it because I used her tools she gave me a $21 fee for styling that is the craziest thing I've ever heard of she said they say was for using her tool

I recently visited the Walmart store and was approached by a lady handing out coupons.  Little did she know I was looking for some one to color my roots and cut my hair.  Trust me she said,  this girl will do a great job. I asked the price for root color and cut, $46/w coupon. I made the appointment for the following day.  Not only did I not get the right color but I am now hiding in my house, embarrassed to go out.  My husbands hair is longer than mine, which is why I didn't go back to the previous salon and I told her that.  There is literally no hair in the back and the sides don't cover the ear, which I wanted to cover my hearing aids.  When she was done she said " Oh I forgot you wanted to spike/ push the back up with your fingers, and if I still didn't like the color in a few days, come back and we will change it".  Then she charged me $67. plus the $5. coupon. Wouldn't recommend Amy or this salon to anyone...Carol Sims

I cant even describe how unhappy I am with my experience at this salon. I took my son in the shop, who had very very long curly thick hair, he is 16. Took photos of the haircut he "always" had before his hair grew out really long. Told the "manager" at front desk we use to come see "Cory" which in the past always did a great job, no disrespect on Cory, he is a great hair stylist. She asked what haircut we were getting, I told her and showed her pictures and I said, I want someone who can do this and who is not scared to cut it. She says Ok, sends me to the stylist.
I show stylist the photo..she says "That can't be done" "It will look like a Mullet" I said...this is the hair cut he's always gotten. She said, I can't do that. So thinking a professional would know what she's talking about I said...Ok, then can you cut his hair into a surfer, shaggy hair cut with layers, just so it has a style. She says "OK"  She combs his hair, parted down the middle, then cuts 7" off of his super thick curly hair, all the way around in 1 motion and says "OK ITS DONE" I asked "Are you going to layer it at all" She said "There's no point with his hair", I said OK, Then can you "THIN it out some?" She says "No, theres no point, it will just grow back". I had to tell her the front had one side longer than the other, so she snips a little more then acts done again. I say...when his hair drys, its going to poof out at the sides and all over, its in one length. She says "No, it only does that because he doesnt put any product in it" I have to ask then, "Can you put some product in it then" ...she ask if we were good, I say "NO, I know whats going to happen when we leave his hair is going to dry and poof out. My son says to the stylist "Can you dry it and we see how it is going to look, she says "snappy" well...I could, but I'd just have to wet it again if you want more cut off. She then says, Come back after my day off tomorrow, and I will cut it more on Tuesday.   SO, she refused to do ANYTHING WE ASK OF HER but tells us to come back in 2 days, she'll cut it more then.
(Just so you know, I have photos before his hair cut, Pics of the photos I showed her we wanted done, and His AFTER pics when we left. I will be glad to send them to ANYONE WHO WANTS THEM)
I did walk back in WalMart today. I seen the stylist checking out, she walked right towards me, so I say "hey...Let me know show you something, I began to show her the photo of his hair after it dried. (It is horrible) I say, remember when I asked you to layer it, she says Umm hmmm... I said, remember when I asked you to thin it out, she says Ummm hmmm, I show her the picture and say Now this is how his hair looks. I say look how long it is on one side and short on the other... She only said "would you like to speak to a manager". YES...I say, So I went in, waited on the manager to finish with her client. Then showed her the photos and told her everything I have said here.
First off. NOT ONE APOLOGY, NOT ONE....IM SORRY THIS HAPPENED TO YOU, HOW CAN I FIX IT???? Nothing at all of the sort....
Nope...she defends the stylist by saying " You have to look at it from our view, if you ask us to do something that can't be done, we're not going to do it" She goes on to use a dumb example of "If you asked me to thin your hair with thinning shears to your scalp, I wouldn't do it"...I said...No, I wasnt asking for anything crazy, I asked her to layer his hair, Even just 1 layer, or to thin it out. So after all her defending this. I say, OK...Your a professional, Your a stylist...I hold up his picture (Again I can't explain how horrible this picture is) I say "IS THIS ACCEPTABLE TO YOU? WOULD YOU HAVE CUT HIS HAIR LIKE THIS, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE??"...She said "I would have waited On CORY to cut his hair.
WOW. SHOCKED!!! I said...so Its my fault he received a bad hair cut, because we should have asked for another stylist...she only says " YOU ASKED ME WHAT I WOULD DO, AND THATS WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE" sooooooo...she pretty much is saying her other stylist, anyone other than CORY is not Capable of cutting a layer in hair, use thinning shears or even CUT A STRAIGHT HAIR CUT!!! I said, SO, everyone that leaves here with a bad hair cut, It's their fault because they didnt choose the right stylist?
This girl cutting my sons hair, wanted to go home. They didnt start cutting his hair until right at closing time, we were there til' after closing time and everything I, the PAYING CUSTOMER asked her to do, she REFUSED. The manager, DID NOT APOLOGIZE at all. NOTHING.
I have been in business for years. If one of my employees made a customer upset, no matter what the reason, the first response would be "Im terribly sorry this has happened, what can I do to help" Not this establishment. Rudeness, Lack of basic hair cutting skills and professionalism. I will tell everyone I know NOT to go there. If you would like to see photos, Please contact me
