I went back here in july (2021) as things were opening up in my state, so first haircut in over 18 months imagine my excitement. I left with a haircut that initially looked great until i showered later and i could not tell you exactly what she was thinking - i simply could not do anything with the varying lengths of hair. None of the haircut made any sense. I had to go to another gal to fix that haircut. I won't be going back to Smartstyle. I cannot in good faith recommend anyone else go here. Which is too bad, i really liked the gal who did my hair right after my initial review.
I got the second worse haircut of my life with Kira. I specifically said no shorter than my collar. Oops!!! Its all the way up my neck to where my hair starts. I also said lightly layered down the back and left long enough so I could use my 1" curling iron. Again Oops!! To her credit she knew she had screwed up and said no charge(small consolation) and then she said "I know that's not what you wanted. I must have misunderstood you!!" She called the manager to help her figure out what to do but it was too late. The manager, Janie, said to come in and she'd try to fix it. After sleeping on it I decided that no matter what she would do it would involve cutting more off to even it up so I didn't go back. I never will I might add!
