Shiny Nails in Brentwood, CA

Gel mani was a bit meh. I came back after getting a pedicure previously and expected a similar experience but it was not that great. The guy doing my nails is nice but if I'm going to be paying $45 to have someone clean my nails I want them to do a fantastic job. I really just wanted them to clean my nails, which they did but the gel application looks a bit messy the day after and also, I have a corner of my thumb hurting because the guy dug a little too deep in my skin. I'm going to give them another chance because the owner of this place is a nice sweet lady who really knows her stuff. Hopefully I get paired with her next time.

I'm really conflicted because they do good work. I always make an appointment and never just stop in. They are never on time (usually 15 minutes behind schedule) and they overbook their appointments (squeeze in more customers while your services are still in process). They don't respect your time and it really upsets me. I always arrive on time, tip well, and make an appointment. I feel like I'm a good customer. Why can't they value my loyalty and treat me the same!

Supper clean, and friendly spot by Safeway. I love to come here because they always made you feel welcoming and never feel being rush like other nails salon.

I can't even fully put into words how grateful I am for this place right now! But I will try my best to. I went to a nail shop around the corner who told me after having an appointment booked a week ago and waiting for 20 mins that they cannot do my daughter and my nails and pedicure. Today is my daughter's first school dance, so you can only imagine the rage I felt as I see my daughter begin to shed tears. I leave and immediately start calling all of the nail salons that I pass by. After 3 fails, Shiny graciously accepts after explaining my situation and says we can come in immediately. They begin doing her pedicure and I ask if they have any time to possibly do a full set for her as well and the accommodate us. And now, they we doing her full set while she gets her pedicure done. How amazing is that! Now my daughter will still be able to make the time to take photos with her friends and arrive at the dance. Thank you, Shiny Nails!

Very disappointed with the experience!! To sum it up nicely, this place is a combo of poor quality products + poor skills + mediocre service. I got my nails done with powder dip and I still cannot believe everything started chipping off within a few days. In a week, I was left with nails that was chipped at multiple places and multiple sharp edges that gave me a skin cut. So I called this place and a guy gave me an appointment for the next day. When I got there around the appointment time, at first the owner lady was super nice(or at least I thought she was thinking I was a new customer). And when I explained her the situation and that I had come in to get it fixed, her attitude took a 180 degree turn and told me they all are busy and can't help me. So I told her one of her guys asked me to come at that time to get it fixed. She was pretty quick to correct it by saying he probably misunderstood and mentioned no one can help me despite knowing the situation that the sharp edges around my nails gave me a cut on the skin ( but I guess who cared as long as they got another customer who had just walked in right after me). And then she told me to come in some other day (as if I was trying to freeload) and that she has to help the other customer ( and she was referring to the person who had just walked in). So, I told her I am willing to pay additional cost as long as she can get those sharp edges fixed because 1. It's sharper than a knife and giving me cuts 2. It looks really really bad. But yet, she was super rude and she told me she doesn't have time as the customer is waiting, and funny enough the other person (the customer she was referring to) hearing our conversation decides to walk away. And after I decide to walk out as well promising myself never to come back to these people who can't treat their customers right. So I started googling frantically who could take me in that day and thank goodness I found another salon, "Top Nails"who took me in listening to my situation and they saved me BIG TIME!!! Their work is amazing and have top notch service (I am definitely writing them a good review with the pictures of my new nails) plus I found out they were $15 dollars cheaper than these people. I am not usually someone to write bad reviews, but I couldn't just let this one go. They not only had poor skills/ bad products but their service was horrendous. I went through a horrible experience with this place and I hope nobody has to go through similar experience with this place as I did.
