Sharlene is amazing!!! I've been to a lot of hair salons over the years and explained to each one how I wanted my hair done and none of them ever got it right until Sharlene did it perfectly and took her time and was very precise with every inch she took ! Can't wait to go back to her soon !!!
I can't speak for the other stylists, but Sharlene is extremely rude. She gave me a completely botched haircut then when i politely asked her to even it out she said it was because my hair was too thin then later in the haircut she said it was too thick to even out due to my "ethnicity" which is extremely racist and irrational because i am from a Caucasian mixed background and have pin straight hair. Will never be back again. This was the haircut before my wedding and she completely dismissed my request to get a trim. Not to mention the fact that this womans daughter towed my car out of the open parking lot..not the kind of stress i needed the weekend before my wedding. Please do not go here, it's definitely not worth the drive/stress it will put on your life. I am traumatized to ever get another haircut again.
I had a cut and color today at Sharlene's and I am very impressed with my entire experience. The consultation was thorough and helpful. The service was great, everyone was so personable. You can tell that this is a place serving local people they seemed to know most clients by name. I enjoyed not being rushed through the motions and the fact that they weren't overbooked. And of course my hair turned out great, going from blonde to dark brown is a big change and I love it! Definitely will be coming back... from Bergen County, NJ.
