A hair salon and vintage clothing - cool! Shag is about a block off University, right off 280, on Raymond Avenue. The front part of the store is vintage clothing & accessories (with some modern stuff mixed in) and a hair salon on back. We had fun looking at the vintage clothes. My wife, in particular, liked the vintage purses and the shelf of big belt buckles. We didn't use the salon service but it looked like they were rockin' back there. Both chairs were occupied with customers and everyone was laughing and having a good time. The woman at the front desk was very nice. She told us that Shag has been around for 8 years so far. Stylist said many racist remarks about people of color. For a short hair cut it took over two hours. The stylist talked my ear off to the point of me feeling uncomfortable, asking VERY personal questions and things that just weren't appropriate. Stylist comes off as a fun loving liberal without recognizing how incredibly racist and rude she was. I do not recommend anyone who is not racist go to this place.
