Scott Broome Salon in Harahan, LA

Scott is very talented. He does an exceptional job. His products are highest quality. He accommodates my needs. I have really  long hair and he  always gives a good trim and color. He is the best hair stylist I have ever had. Couldn't  ask for more in a stylist. And personally he is very kind and understanding. I couldn't put my hair in the care of any one more capable or professinal.

A great hair cut and great conversation.  Scott always fits me into his schedule. I'm always busy and appreciate how he accommodates.

I was scheduled to see Barbie, a stylist at the salon, for my first visit with her for highlights. When I called, I made the appt with Scott over the phone and he said he scheduled me with Barbie for a future Saturday. I arrived to the salon super excited to meet Barbie and have the color put back in my hair. I love crazy colors and highlights so I was recommended to her from a friend. Well, when I got to the Salon Scott told me to have a seat and he would be with me in few moments. I found that very odd but I didnt think anything of it. While I was sitting there waiting, I noticed that they had double doors but the blinds were closed but I could barely see through them and heard some women talking. I found it very strange that the women were not exposed to the entire salon, like they were hiding. Scott called me back to sit in his chair then started to ask me what I had in mind. I immediately stated that I was here to see Barbie, not him. I think he got offended bc he said, "No, you scheduled your appt with me", in kind of a snotty voice. I stated that I know for a fact I scheduled it with Barbie but I was there already excited about getting my "hair did" and my new hightlights/color/cut and didnt want to leave (BAD MISTAKE)!! Scott started telling me about himself and explaining how long he has been doing hair, he owned the salon and how good he is and all the shows he has done. Well I started feeling confident about him but I still had that little birdy in the back of my head saying "Get out now". He started out cutting my hair first dry. My hair was very long, just above my tailbone. I asked him to cut a few inches off to get rid of the dead ends. He cut up to just below my shoulders which I didnt realize until he was done. I was livid!!!!! At that moment I should of gotten up and walked out and went somewhere else but I didnt bc I was embarrassed. I let that slide since I was going to get highlights thinking that it would actually look good. He put the foils on for my blonde hightlights and the same for red highlights. It took 6 hours for my hair to process!! I had my son with me and he was starting to get aggrovated himself. In the meantime, I was on the phone with my boyfriend and we had gotten into a fight over the length of time I was there. He came to pick him up finally. When Scott had washed out the color, the horror set in!!! When that towel came off my hair I was mortified! I had blocks (not chunks, but blocks) of blonde VERY WIDE STRIPS and the red was like a fire truck, VERY UGLY. I then started to cry. I begged him to dye my hair back to the normal color so I can leave but he didnt want to since he spent so long getting my hair to process. He said he would put a glaze over it and it would tone the blonde down. I said to go with it then he made a statement that sent me over the edge. He said he would need to call his wife and tell her he wouldnt be home for dinner. What nerve! Dont tell me that! Excuse yourself, go outside or text her but you dont ever tell a client that info!!! Well after that he thought it would be a good idea to take pictures of the red highlights bc someone else might want that color!!! OMG, I cried while he was taking pictures!!! So rude, no compassion at all. Then he asked me if I didnt get into a fight with my boyfriend earlier, would I like my hair. I wish I would of listened to that little voice in my head and left from the start!!!! He didnt even style my hair, I left with it wet. I made myself up to the front counter to check out and that man made me pay over $200 for messed up hair!!! He said he gave me a break and didnt charge for one of the glazes he put in my hair, ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!

Never again will I step into that place again!!! That man had no heart! When I pass by that building, I am reminded by it everytime.
