Had a delayed layover flight and these women took me in and had my senegalese braids done in half the time! Prices are reasonable, I will return.

I am a super satisfied customer. I called at 9 for a same day appointment. She told me to come in at 11. I did. I showed her a picture of my braid pattern. She hooked me up in less than 45 minutes. Did it all on my lunch break and I wasn't even late! Cash only business.

Great first time experience. Okay, so I'm going away next weekend and I knew I wouldn't have time to get my hair done so I decided to go yesterday (Friday night) I was originally going to another place but decided to give them a try. I walked in around 6PM and was instantly greeted with "Hello Beautiful Princess, how may we help you" it was FiFi the salon manager. I asked for prices, she examined my hair and discreetly told me the price. I sat in the chair and was instantly taken care of. I wanted box braids but saw the young women hair next to me and it was too cute and FiFi reassured me my happiness was her happiness and had no problem switching my last minute decision. All the braiders were very kind and responsive. FiFi is from Mali so she has a thick accent but her kind words and helpful hair tips are understandable. She referred to every person she spoke to as Beautiful and care off very genuine. She took care of my hair and scalp and made sure to cater to my tender-headed self. She didn't use heat or make me feel uncomfortable for my thick 4c hair like most shops do; racking your hair and pulling out the blow dryer. My faux locs took about 4 hours long and when I left out FiFi's daughter came to pick her up and when she realized I was walking home she offered to drop me off. When I tell you this was the most hospitable African braiding shop I have EVER been in. I will definitely be returning to FiFi.

The customer service at this shop is horrible! I made an appt with a shop down the street from them, which unfortunately did not work out because when I arrived the braider was not there. Next option, this location. I had been there before for goddess twists a few times, with good and not so good experiences. I went in on 05/13 for ghana braids/large cornrows. I'm not too sure of the specific name but i had a picture to give them an idea. Now, I have very coarse hair and I had just taken out goddess braids the day before. When I arrived, the owner told me that I had not combed my hair all the way through so she proceeded to comb and blow dry my hair. It felt like she was pulling my hair from the scalp but I dealt with it because i know my hair is rough. When she finished she told me another braider would braid my hair, fine. I requested five braids. The braider talked to the other braiders in the shop and on the phone while she did my hair. Seen it before, but really, I'm only getting five braids! She finally finished and then slapped a glob of black gel and mousse on my hair. From the front I could tell it wasnt what i asked for but wasn't too bad. They asked me to pay after the second braid. I never looked at the back of my head in the shop, which was a very stupid mistake on my part. A $75 mistake!!! To my horror when i got home it looked like a child braided my hair. In the back where my hair was more coarse, the braided grabbed big portions of hair which did not blend with the braiding hair at all. Never will I just hand over my money again! If you go here for services...make sure to watch EVERYTHING they're doing to your hair! They only seem to care about the money!
