Wanted to try this place out because of all of the good reviews, but it's definitely deceiving. I have thick long hair and I made my stylist aware of it. I booked to get a balayage and hair cut. Well my stylist over booked herself. So while she was doing my hair she would then go to another client and do their hair and have someone else do my hair or just leave me sitting there. It was a mess, I felt completely ignored and not taken care of. To make matters worse she didn't leave the bleach in long enough (probably because she was rushing) or I don't think she knew what she was doing because my hair ended up having a brassy orange color. The hairstylist said "oh it just looks like that now but tomorrow it should lighten up" well it never did and my hair looked horrible. $400 down the drain and my hair was ruined. I will not be coming back. I hope that this salon stops over booking themselves and actually takes the time to take care of their clients.
I am a snowbird and have been going to Salon West the last two years for cuts and color. I've loved both of my stylists (Kandice M. and Valarie). They both were very professional and took extra time during my initial visits to make sure they matched my color and cut/styled my hair how I wear it. The Salon is very clean and welcoming. Their products (Redken) are very gentle, odor free, and makes my hair feel great. I wish my stylist at home used Redken products! I would highly recommend Valarie and this salon for your next hair appointment. Debbe
After being here for six years. I finally found a great Salon. Everyone was attentive and I felt very welcome. Leslie was awesome and definitely will come back for another haircut. Worth every penny.
I had an excellent experience at Salon West! Jayne has cut and colored my hair before and I am always so happy each time! She gives a great consultation and listens to my ideas, too. She cut, highlighted, blow dried my hair and does the best shampoo and scalp massage! It is a very comfortable and relaxing experience! I also travel from New York just to see Jayne and get my hair done!!
