Got a 'gel' manicure that lasted approximately a week before chipping. This place is a scam, don't believe the positive reviews
I was in the area in desperate need of getting my eyebrows threaded. It has been a long time coming. My previous experience left me with uneven eyebrows due to dashing into a random salon in another area. I put off coming to the city due to time conflicts. I took advantage of a day off and set to go to my regular place. To my disappointment, this location closed down (queue tears)!!!! On my way back to the train station, I passed Salon Vollo. I decided to try my luck and walk in. They graciously welcomed me in with good spirits. Alex and Ira are truly nice people! So glad I came here. Ira shaped my eyebrows like no other. She was precise with her work and made sure to even out my eyebrows after I told her about my horrible experience. The price is a bit on the higher side, but then again what isn't in Manhattan? If I'm ever in the area, I'll be sure to stop in. I'm also considering getting my hair done here next time with Alex :) Thank you again .....my eyebrows have been saved from destruction!
Great local salon. Friendly people, great prices, and most importantly great results. Had my hair blown out while getting a mani...all during my lunch break and under an hour!
Was walking through the rain storm to run an errand. Had no intention of stopping in this place to get my haircut but I am so glad I did. Took me right away and did a fantastic job - despite my many questions and skepticism ;) Boris did a fabulous job, and my hair is finally looking healthy again. Purchased a Groupon for a gel manicure. Was my first experience at the Salon. The staff was nice. Why I'm giving 1 star is because I was not informed that I would pay extra for a gel soak off or for a nail design (that was only for two nails) prior to these services. In addition, a gel manicure should last for two weeks +, I've had mine for five days and it's starting to chip. The polish itself was not applied well and is starting to lift off the nail itself. I am very disappointed with the services provided and the outcome.
