It's fine! I've been to plenty of Aveda salons over the years and this is by far the least posh experience of them all. It's very much so got the local neighborhood feel to it. In my opinion, the owner (Val) is a bit rude. The other woman who cuts hair is absolutely wonderful and I always enjoyed seeing her!! Despite living nearby, I've since switched to a different Aveda salon in the area that does dry cutting and personally prefer it. I will say they almost always can get you in on short notice here though!

I tried Salon Vibes on the Mount after walking past it a number of times with my dogs, and I had a terrific haircut experience with Valerie! My hair is fairly long and thick, and while I don't do a ton to it, I'm pretty picky with haircuts. Valerie was extremely communicative--she made sure I knew exactly how much she was going to take off before cutting my hair and asked clarifying questions throughout the haircut to ensure we were on the same page. I'd requested a dry haircut (that is, I didn't want my hair washed), and she was totally accommodating. I left with a great cut that was exactly what I'd asked for. On top of that, Valerie is super friendly and fun to chat with--she even recommended a new brunch spot! I'll be back for sure.

What a cute little salon! I'm from Orlando and stopped in when visiting my friend who lives just up the street. She has to work for the day so I figured I would get a hair cut and passed by this spot. If not for their sidewalk sign out front, it's an easy miss. I came on a Thursday morning so it wasn't very busy and I got serviced as soon as I arrived. You can call ahead (which is what I did) and make an appointment too if that's your style. The decor inside is very welcoming and relaxing. Up front they have magazines and cute novelty books to read if you do need to wait. Staff starts by asking about your hair and what you need/want before proceeding. A hair cut comes with a shampoo and blow dry. Prices were pretty reasonable. Since my hair is simple, it was only $33 for the shampoo and cut. Overall a pleasant and personable experience, I would definitely go again!

The customer service at Salon Vibes on the Mount is off the charts fantastic!!! They promptly returned my voicemail request to urgently remedy a botched haircut I had received from a different local salon the day before. Valerie and her team accommodated my timeframe request and had me seated within 30 minutes! I was so impressed with Valerie's promptness, professionalism and attention to detail, I purchased two additional services at checkout via gift cards! Wow! Thank you Valerie and Salon Vibes on the Mount! The great service and care you provided on such late notice is what separates the great from the average! Great job & keep up the fine work! I will be sure to spread the word and the good VIBES!!! Thanks again!
