Salon Lofts Hyde Park in Cincinnati, OH

Salon Lofts are rented out by individual or teams. When you have a service done at Salon Lofts, it is not being done by the business, but independent businesses, under one roof. These range from stylists to waxers. Many of the professionals who rent lofts allow for online booking through the Salon Loft website. With COVID, the waiting area is closed. Customers are to text who their appointment is with, and that person will let them know when it is safe to enter. My appointment was with Stephanie Castrucci. Stephanie took time cutting my hair. On that she did a good job. I would give the cut 4 stars. I was more impressed with the cut than the highlights. ALL other places I have had my hair colored at have shown color swatches to confirm the color I am describing is what they have. This has been the case no matter the stylist I have seen for color. (Unless it is a repeat appointment, and they remember my color.) Stephanie got right to mixing, with no visual confirmation. Resulting color was more oragne than I would have liked. Color also didn't go all the way to the roots in most places. This made the color immediately look like the hair had alreay grown out for a few weeks. The color I give 2.5 stars. I averaged the stars out to 3.

Chelsie Slatter is terrible. I asked for light brown blond ombré, she gave me blonde balayage. Although, my hair turned out mostly red... she accused me of tampering with it when I asked for her to fix it. She charged me way too much and was extremely rude about it. Do NOT go to her if you care about your hair. I had to get my hair done all over by another stylist somewhere else. My coworkers asked my why I dyed my hair red...

Had terrible experience, as I was new in the area and I wanted to try this salon. I bought the Groupon, trust me she doesn't know how to cut hairs. Being a groupon customer, she gave me just 10 minutes haircut. There was no difference in my hairs after the "haircut". She must sell this coupon saying trimming sessions and not haircut!!!

A great place~I've been getting my nails done with one person for several years, and I LOVE her. However, I booked an appointment with Elizabeth Smith for an eyebrow wax and she canceled exactly 20 minutes before our appointment. No reasons; no offer to re-schedule; no response to my email. Nothing. Won't be booking with her again.

I had a really terrible experience with one of the stylists. Look fine when I left, but when I got home I looked at the highlights and they were streaky and unprofessional. Stylist cancelled my first appointment, and was 15 minutes late to my rescheduled appointment. Rushed through, didn't ask for input. I feel used.
