I have getting my hair color and highlights by Kazumi for over 10 years now. I went to her for a hair color correction at first. She did such a fantastic job with color correction and ever since then I was a fan. She is very meticulous, creative and works to make sure your hair looks stunning. She is very personable and her staff is also amazing. I also recommend Aaron, who does my haircut and style after Kazumi is done with my color/highlights. I hesitated writing a review at all since getting my hair highlighted and dyed by Kazumi earlier this month. However, every time I do my hair it reminds me of how unhappy I am of the results and experience after spending a ton of money ($550 for half highlights and $200 for a base/root dye plus tips for 3 people). It's a pretty penny that I was willing to spend on a nice hair job, but the highlights came out more orangey than I would like and the base dye didn't connect my existing hair color to the 3" of roots that was dyed. I'm not sure if she was in a rush or didn't care because I didn't look like a typical BH client. As she was doing my hair, Kazumi said my hair looked like it was chopped/chewed on and suggested I should get a $300 haircut at her salon. My hair was properly cut and is the blunt straight style that I like, mind you. I didn't have time so I passed. When the coloring was done, she mentioned that since it was my first time that the blow dry/blowout was free. What?! For the amount of money I paid, I thought it was part of the service but nope. Her assistant dried my hair and barely did any styling. Before I was finished Kazumi had already left for the day. Definitely would not be coming back!
