Salon emulsify in Olympia, WA

I moved to the Olympia area two years ago and Sheena is the second hair specialist I have used since moving here. I've had six appointments with her and she has never been on time with as much as an hour late. Even when I ask her to be sure of my appointment when I have other commitments she always leaves me hanging. The last appointment, she told me my credit card didn't go through so I sent her a Paypal payment. i discovered the credit card payment had gone through, I asked for a refund with no reply. My next appointment was yesterday and when I checked with her, she told me she wasn't available. I believe she scammed me and I won't be going back to her. I will say, I have been very happy with how she cuts my hair. She has given me some tips that have been very helpful.

Sheena is a hair artist. She knows her hair, care, cut, and products. She's on the pricey side, but I convinced myself it was worth it, because the appointments never lacked for quality. However, there has been one reoccurring issue: she's late. Every single appointment she is not there on time. My last appointment I waited over an hour (!), and the one before that she simply forgot. I am patient and understanding, but today was the last straw. I let her know when I scheduled the appointment that I needed my appointment to start on time. I texted the day before to confirm the appointment. The day came and she wasn't there. Again. I texted. No reply. I waited. Nothing. I'm sure she had another perfectly reasonable reason for being late, but I left, frustrated and in tears, with my hair only half completed with what we set out to do. I imagine she can't do this to every client, else she wouldn't have any. I also imagined this wouldn't happen to me every single time, but it did. I now have to find someone else to finish what she started, and it will probably take weeks to get me in. I am extremely disappointed.

Would give 0 stars If I could. Late on multiple occasions , and did not provide any updates to schedule changes. VERY poor service. Do not recommend.

Loved Ms. Sheena! My skin/scalp is very sensitive, she uses vegan products for hairstyling. I have long black hair and it was time for a cut. Her layering is very beautiful, allowed her to experiment and do what's best for the type of hair and face shape I had. I loved how it turned out and feel amazing.

I have gone to her once and tried a second time and both times she was late. Her excuse was that her previous client was late or that their color process was taking much longer. Neither time did she communicate that she'd be late until I was there already waiting. The first time I asked for a balayage and instead she gave me blonde highlights! She also took so long that I was there until after midnight. To her credit, she was doing both my hair and my friends' at the same time, but instead of making the hard choice to say no she can't do both at the same time or to reschedule one of us, especially because she already ran 45 minutes late and had to run to get supplies which took another 45 minutes, she went ahead with the appointment. Then I decided to give her a second chance when I wanted to go blue. I had box dye in my hair and I totally understand that that's going to take time to process out, but that's why I booked an earlier appointment. I show up and she doesn't answer my texts that I'm there and when she finally does she tells me that her previous client is running over (AGAIN) and that it would be another 40 minutes or so which would put my out time after 9pm. After that, I've decided to not go back. If you can't schedule your hair color appointment time appropriately, then that's not a good business.
