Salon Citi in Fairfax, VA

I have been going to Salon Citi for years. The staff is friendly and professional and the salon is clean with a pleasant atmosphere. Ismail is a master stylist and does amazing hair color very professional and listens to what you want and makes sure you are happy. I truly recommend this salon, all the stylists are professional and the best at their job. 5 stars

Service was poor, I was not offered a beverage or to hang my coat. I asked if they were busy to highlight this and stated I could come back. I was assured they had time, after cut, I waited 20-30 min to get my hair blowdried after I kept asking for someone as they tried to juggle appointments. The vibe and customer experience is very low class, I had gone here for quick cuts about 4-6 years and this was the level of treatment and care for a returning customer. Over 100 dollars later for an inch trim and dead space of waiting an extra 30 min for a person to blow dry as if I am an inconvenience. I got up to leave, I was completely disgusted with them and I will never return. The cut is uneven. Absolutely disgusted with the "manners" displayed. When I tried to pay the owner didn't believe the card didn't have contactless payment and needed the chip inserted ... my face was beyond... and still charged full price for the extra wasted time, bad cut and completely ruined any self care relaxing vibes. Opposite of the experience I was expecting and inexcusable Treatment.

$300 for a uneven cut (literally just noticed after the "blow out" dropped) a whole different hair color than the reference picture I showed him. AND burn spots from the bleaching. Plopped my hair on top of my head for 30minutes. Even tho I said it was burning really bad, he said it was "normal". ismail, listen to your clients!! extremely disappointed and frustrated . I work hard for my money, I could've spent 300 anywhere else and gotten better results. Not black women friendly. Go anywhere else!!!

I highly recommend Ismail for color. I've been a customer of his for over 3 years and followed him from his last salon. He does an amazing job, and the longer you see him the more depth he can incorporate into your hair color with highlights and lowlights. Ask him for a Turkish coffee or tea while you're there! I like the salon and usually isn't too busy in the evenings during the week. You usually don't have to wait long and they accommodate walk-ins for men's trims and women's blowouts.

Review for Ismail Buber, who has been my 'coiffeur' since 3 or 4 locations ago. If you want to get 'coiffed' true to European Gent style, Ismail is your man. He makes for great conversation aswell. And is his new Fairfax location, his lovely spouse has joined him, who has golden hands as became apparent during the shampooing.
