The owner Shavon Boughton is unprofessional, and I would never consider visiting this salon again. Don't waste your time, and go elsewhere.

30 dollars for a hair wash and conditioning ? Didn't even fully brush my hair out ? Next day woke up with a lot of dandruff still- it was probably the worst hair wash and conditioning I've ever had. I went in with no appointment but I did call in advance to ask if I can come in and get my hair washed and blow dried. They said yes that they will be able to fit me in and get it done. I waited a little bit, got my hair washed and then was asked to sit while the girl finished up another client. I waited a whole hour with wet tangled hair and at the hour mark I was losing patience and I saw that her client had at least another 30mins to an hour before she was done and It started getting dark outside, I don't drive past sunset so I asked if I could pay for the hair wash and leave........ 30 dollars ? For a half job? I had to come back come and untangle my hair myself. By the way my hair is between 3a-b and sure I went in with my hair being Not brushed for a week almost two weeks. But it wasn't even that hard to untangle once I went home to do it myself. It took me 2 minutes to untangle it. They could've told me over the phone that they don't have time to wash and blow dry my hair and I would've went somewhere else. I had to leave with wet tangled hair and risk getting sick. However I will give credit where credit is due the two starts are for how the salon was really nice and tidy. The music playing was great. Everyone seemed nice and the lady that washed my hair was also nice. I have recently had a surgery and the lady kept asking if I was comfortable while washing my hair. Maybe this experience was just a one time thing ? I'm not sure. You might have a better experience if you go there but my personal experience was not great and I will most likely never go back there.

I've been here twice before & never had an issue but that all changed Saturday. If you book an appointment with Amelia be prepared for the random charges & extreme unprofessionalism you will endure. I called Friday wanting to schedule a weekend appointment for a silk press. An appointment was available for Saturday at 1230 pm with Amelia. I took that slot & made my 20$ deposit. I then received a txt saying she had an 1130am instead, GREAT! Even better. So Saturday comes, I arrive ON TIME for my 1130am appointment....I sit and wait for one full hour until she starts my hair at 1230. I should've walked out after waiting 1 full hour but I stayed so anyways She tells me to go to the bowl & starts washing my hair. While she's washing my hair she tells me she will be doing a steam treatment because of the shedding my hair is having due to coming out of braids, ok. I get the steam treatment, then under the dryer. Now I'm back in her chair & this is where is gets interesting! Ms.unprofessional starts detangling my hair & then tells me it will be 1$ per minute because my hair is very tangled. Now any other stylist I've ever been to makes sure to detangle or at the very least touch the clients hair BEFORE they start to process. She also tells me due to the density of my hair it will be an extra change because it takes her more time to do. NEVER im my life have I heard that stupid line before. My hair is manageable & actually very easy to do for experienced stylist. Now im questioning her because the price I was told over the phone ( 75$) has sky rocketed up to 115$!!!!! HOW ?! She claims the person that makes the appointments told me the wrong price & im a new client blah blah blah. Well if that's the case why wasn't any of this explained BEFORE she started the process ? By this time im mad because you're obviously trying to get more money out of me, if you're broke just say. No need to lie to clients. After ms.unprofessional storms away, we go back & forth over pricing. This con artist tells me the price is 135$...now remember that 20$ deposit I did so really my total was 155$!!! Stay away from Amelia, she's the very 1st stylist on the right when you walk in. You've been warned.

I love going to see my favorite stylist, Chan at this shop! It is trendy, great music, she is a young, talented, and popular stylist. It's hard to get an appointment sometimes but trust me, she is worth it! I showed her what style that I was trying to achieve and she made it happen! Love her!
