I booked a appointment with Cornelia the salon owner a week before my actual appointment date. The day before I had my appointment scheduled, I called and spoke to Cornelia asking her to confirm the time of my appointment with me because I could not find my confirmation email. Cornelia asked for my phone number and told me she would call me back because she currently had a client. Cornelia never called. I called later that evening and no one answered the phone. The day of my appointment I called multiple times and again no one answered the phone. I ended up finding the confirmation email at 7:40 am and rushed to my 8 am appointment. When I arrived at 8:05 am no one was present in the salon. I waited for over 15 minutes calling and I messaged her on Instagram saying that I had a appointment. As soon as I was about to leave, Cornelia arrived. I asked if she was the salon owner and she said "yes". I explained that I had been calling her, and she had never called me back and that I had waiting for her to arrive. I asked if she could refund me my $25 deposit because of the unprofessionalism. She said "yes" , asked me to wait outside and then walked into her salon. When she returned out she started yelling at me saying "Did you read the policy. I don't give refunds." Again, I explained to her that I kept calling her and the lack of professionalism. She continued to yell and I responded "Am I yelling at you, no. So I don't understand why you are yelling at me." She quickly slam the door in my face and went into her salon. She completed ignored the fact that I was trying to have a conversation with her. I ended up calling the police on her just because she was rude and I wanted to see if they could help with my refund. It's not even about the money, it's the principle of the situation. This would have been my first time receiving a service from her and I suggest that no one does!!! She is completely UNPROFESSIONAL !!!!

Booking: I used the online booking option and paid a small deposit for a silk press. I would recommend that you call if you are interested in a particular stylist, but since it was my first visit there, it didn't matter much to me who did my hair. Environment: Salon Beautifull Strands was indeed beautiful with a clean, glittery interior. The salon had a pleasant atmosphere and in a great location. Experience: When I arrived, I was greeted right away at the door. After checking in, I was taken straight to the wash bowl by Camry and she took care of my hair from start to finish. She was by far, the most gentle stylist I've had do my hair. I am always concerned about rough combing and blow drying, but Camry took her time and did not add more tangles to my hair. She detangled it after my wash and deep condition without any discomfort. We talked about my hair journey to this point, treatment options, and styling preferences. Camry was friendly and did an amazing job, leaving my hair silky soft and beautifully done. Will definitely return and will specifically ask for Camry.

Ok so I happened upon this salon by accident. The place itself is very clean, which is Ofcouse the first thing I look for these days. I asked if they excepted walk ins and Neda was happy to help. All stylists were wearing a mask and they had the door locked to limit the traffic in and out. The owner who was very polite as well said they had been there for a little over a year! Did I mention it is black owned! I don't press my hair much or get it done in a salon so I got a shampoo, condition, protein treatment, and silk press. Neda did the damn thing, come see her for all your natural hair needs. They also have two young queens braiding in the salon and I watched them put in work. I was proud to see young women grinding.
