I hesitantly give this salon two stars. I'm only giving the stars based on Shanaz being very friendly and hospitable. However, the quality of the service was possibly the worse I've ever received. I asked for balayage on my hair and Shanaz assured me she could easily do that. We discussed that it would be subtle and blend well with my roots that I had been growing out for over a year (which is what I wanted). While there, of course, I trusted she knew what she was doing, but when I got home and fully looked at all my hair... it was horrendous. Maybe I should have spent more time looking at the finished product before I walked out, but it looked decent enough around my face. When I was leaving she told me she would be happy to work on it again in a month if "I didn't like it" because I was getting married in TWO MONTHS. I believe now that was because she knew she didn't do a good job. I immediately requested I come back and have her fix it. The second time around Shanaz was not as friendly. She became combative and repeatedly told my hair looked good and I didn't know what I wanted. I understand the need to defend your work, but NO ONE would agree with her about this looking good (see pictures). We finally settled on fixing the highlights in the back and toning the rest of my hair to darken the very blonde pieces I didn't originally want. BUT in reality the highlights weren't fixed very well and she DYED my hair instead of toning it, probably to cover up the mistakes she made, which turned my roots into a brassy mess. Not going to lie, I cried... twice. Mostly because I'm getting married soon and have to get my hair done two more times before the wedding by someone else just to fix it. Beware.
Shanaz is excellent with highlights and ombré hair color. My daughter got an ombré 2 years ago, and everyone says her color looks fantastic everywhere she goes. The color stays on pretty long surprisingly. The price was so worth it for how long it last. I normally don't like messing with my hair, I also got ombré hair color and it looks wonderful!! Unlike other hair colorist, Shanaz's magical mix of hair color dimensions will flatter your skin tone and make you look amazing and beautiful!!! The pictures here doesn't do it justice compare to real life, since it doesn't bring out the depth and dimensions as much.
