Cannot recommend this salon enough! I moved to Charlotte 2 years ago and have been struggling with painful trial and error trying to find my home salon. Well, Salon 42 is it. I came in asking for a trim and refresh on my layers and Ryan delivered! The whole staff was friendly and I'll definitely be back.
Melissa was wonderful and she did such an amazing job. She truly did a wonderful job. I went in for a partial highlight. When I called I was told just any stylist BUT WASNT TOLD THERE WERE LEVELS. Not to mention they didn't say they always add gloss. Which was an EXTRA charge. The stylists are wonderful but whoever schedule my appointment needs to be clear in how their are levels of stylist. I expected an $82 + tip style today. It ended up being a $155 + tip style. I am beyond upset with how I was treated since my young age probably didn't help me any when talking to the front desk about what had happened. I clearly complained and recommended they make it more obvious to budget friendly customers like me. Make sure to ask the right questions when trying a new salon!!!!!

Update: went back in to get my color + cut fixed, and they absolutely crushed it. I'm so glad we were able to save the blonde! We had to cut a bit of length off to fix the layers + face frame, but it looks so much more balanced--even with the super short chunk that was cut off at my previous appt. Huge shout out to Sam for color + Jason for cut. And thanks to Crystal + the wonderful receptionist (so sorry I'm blanking on her name!) for helping out too. Definitely will be back to see Sam for color.
