Salon 290 in Duncan, SC

Terrible haircut . It was blunt and not even straight. I'm going to have to go somewhere else it gets it fixed. Waist of money.

I don't know about the quality of salon, but their professionalism and customer service leaves a lot to be desired.  I called on Thursday morning for an appointment for simple haircut.  The lady seemed puzzled, then said their are only 2 of us here and asked me to call back in the afternoon.  I tried again around noon on Friday, asked for an appointment, and was placed on hold.  After 10 minutes on hold, I just hung up.  I guess I'll try another salon.

Never again! All of the ladies that work there were very rude to me and my daughter today. We were recommended there for one. Big mistake. With the sign that said Walk in welcome, we were not welcomed. The lady closest to the door asks us did we have an appointment and I said no. She said well what do we need to get done and I said we just wanted hair cuts nothing special. She said I don't have to time do any of you girl's have to time for a haircut. And the ones up front said no. Then one of them went to the back and ask some girls if they have time for a cut and they all came out and gave one look and upped there nose at us and said no. It was very demeaning to be looked at like that. I will never go back not that I have ever been before. So people don't bother and go else where.

Salon 290--Robin Eaker
This is one classy salon and the hair stylists are current with the latest in fashion and color.  I have sat and watched all of them work, and I have to say, they are all talented, but then, I do have my favorite, and that is Robin Eaker.  I like that she listens to me and is interested in just what I want to have done.  She makes great suggestions and we have followed through on several of them.  I had let my hair grow out from a very short cut over the period of a couple of years.  I decided I wanted something easier but not too short.  I showed her some pictures to give her an idea of what I wanted and ... voila! she gave me a precision cut that takes me less than half the time I use to spend, and my husband is thrilled with it.  And to top it off, she is just one nice person--friendly, personable with a great personality that just puts you at ease.  She is off Monday's and Wednesday's, but otherwise give a call to Salon 290 and ask for her.  If she cannot fit you in, all the girls there are very capable.  A pleasant experience every time.

Robin Eaker of Salon 290 is my favorite hair professional of all time. She has cut and permed my hair twice a year for several years. She does an impeccable job - she takes her time and her work is of very high quality. With other stylists, I've encountered problems with the perm chemicals lightening my hair because the products they used were cheap. I've never had this problem with the perm chemicals Robin uses. I even made one of her perms last me a full year because she did such a good job! Robin is also a very kind and calm person, who is very pleasant to talk to while she works. I highly recommend her services!
