Elegant Nails in Duncan, SC

The quality was so freaking bad it was rushed. I was rotated between three ladies.
The first one did such a great job, and then I kept being rotated look at the sloppy mess
I probably shouldn't have ever told him my budget because I told him my budget and they started to do such a cheap job

This is the first review I've ever written, but my experience was so awful that I truly felt this review needed to happen.  To be fair, the nail tech did a perfectly decent job, but what happened when I went to check out totally negated that.  I had a pretty awful foot/toe surgery in October of last year where, if it could go wrong, it went wrong.  For Christmas my SIL got me a pedicure to Elegant Nails, as we'd had good experiences there before and she thought it would be fun to have a girl's spa day to celebrate once I was all healed up.  Sadly, I did not get the "all clear" to have my first official pedicure until two weeks ago.  I excitedly booked with the nail tech I had visited the day before my surgery, who recognized me and asked how things had went.  However, when I went to pay with my gift card, I was told that it was expired and had zero value.  I explained my circumstances, the nail tech vouched for me, but the woman (I'm assuming owner or manager) kept YELLING at me that it now had absolutely no value.  She was SO incredibly and unnecessarily  rude and dismissive.  The last thing I was trying to do was cheat the system, and the way it was handled felt so icky and unfair to me.  I will NEVER be back.

1 star because it is the lowest possible. they will put you in a chair and not come back for over an hour. definitely don't buy gift certificates. I had a $100 gift certificate that was less than 5 months old, they said they expire in 3 months. That is ridiculous and a rip off. I have been coming here over 6 years but will never come back!

The worst nail experience of my life, I got a full set of acrylic nails with the dip powder application. The nail tech rushed through the entire process because she had to pick her child up at 3. I tipped her $20 cash, paid, and went home. An hour later every single nail was cracked in the middle of the nail, and they also adjusted my balance and added a $20 additional tip to my card. I come back in today to a very hostile nail technician who is recording my nails and calling up the previous tech about the work- and then proceeds to gas light me and tell me I was too rough on the nails. No ma'am.

The worst customer service, hostile work, chop shop.

Very unprofessional. Attitude was really nasty. I was sitting in a chair in the back of the shop so my two year old niece would feel comfortable, so I sat next to her and held her hand. Keep in mind that I had been sitting in this the entire time I was in the shop and the "owner" proceeded to say "you can't sit right there, you're going to break my chair". I said excuse m, I've been sitting here this whole and now you say something. He walked off in the back like he didn't hear me say anything. Just rude, nasty, and comments were uncalled for! Definitely won't be getting any service from ME! You shouldn't go there either. I wish they had a rating for ZERO STARS!
