do not go to Melissa for color services. I wanted to go from darker to a lighter brown. she gave me blonde hair that turned yellow/orange two days later. Had to go back to get a glaze which completely washed out to orange again less than a week later. She then posted on instagram a petty story about going from dark to light, and said it's a "process" after she explicitly told me it'd be done it one session. I had to go back a third time to get the color corrected, saw Kayla and she was amazing and actually listened to me. $400 later my hair is fried. Don't go to Melissa she does not know what she is doing with color services.

Here goes: the skin around my eyebrows is sensitive and I always remind the stylist that I cannot have cream around my eyes. I also am dependent on my eyeglasses. Despite my reminder, the stylist put cream around my eyebrows and I didn't see this until it was too late. I say something but is sure it is a mistake, so no big deal. Huge itchy rash on my eyebrows for a week. The next time I call for an appointment, I get pushed 2 weeks out. Very unusual but maybe they got busy. I get my eyebrows done. I remind the same stylist and despite my diligence in trying to watch for cream, she puts it on again. When I say I cannot take cream on my eyebrows, she says "I can't help what you are allergic to." No apology. No remorse. Never went back. Always wondered if the stylist thought I didn't go back because I had trouble getting an appointment.
